100% correct. Very well said indeed. Can't recall a win this satisfying in a long while. I'm happy to eat crow forever more, as a Geno doubter to some degree, I now realize I expected too much too soon from him. But yesterday Geno showed me an element of toughness, both mentally and physically, that quite frankly did not for the life of me had any idea he possessed. Beyond that I also saw the trademark of all good QBs, that demeanor, that quiet but strong confidence and resilience, and the ability to bounce back from a bad outing, learning from his mistakes instead of letting mistakes get in his head and erode his God given confidence. To me, yesterday's victory was not just tremendously satisfying, but a sign of good things to come.
I live in Chicago. I have 4 bets going that we don't win 7 totaling $500.00. All the idiots here took the media narrative that the Jets are the worst team ever hook, line and sinker. I took those bets assuming just 2 wins going into November.
Tony, you are a class act as are your posts. It's a pleasure reading them. Don't feel alone, I too have a belly full of crow and by God it tastes wonderful. I think we do have something in Geno, and in MM for sure. This combo plus Goodson, Ivory and Bidal, could open the way to a wide open offense. Time will tell but this offense is simply exciting, a total breath of fresh air from years past. I have that funny fealing that this team will continue to get better as the season progresses and with next years draft potentially a division contender for years to come.
Hmmm, on TV Keyshawn and a certain Coach Ditka picked the Jets. BTW, I picked the Jets to win the picks thread somewhere. Although I said 21-17.
That's the second time they all picked against us and we won. Bucs, lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
agreed...i'd even save this...if geno turns out to be an above average QB, if we make some adds to WR and bring in a decent lead RB (no knock on Powell), the Jets may even be a legit SB contender the way this defense is coming along.
One game at a time, indeed. But it's great watching Geno improving. Might be some more hiccups down the road. I won't mind.
