hey sfb, im not the one who was so ready to tell me how i dont add to the conversation that you missed the point that you said he choked every post season. so i will put it differently. how exactly does a guy choke in a superbowl winning season?

    dont believe your own hype.

where did I say he choked in 2006? I said he had one great half and didn't do much else but where did I say he choked?

That was surprisingly one of his worst postseasons the year he won the SB. Also one of the few years he had a great defense though.

His D played great that postseason but they played more than well enough to win in most years. They failed to win more b/c of the QB primarily.

when you say things like the first line you are inferring that he choked in the year he won the superbowl. or did we change the definition of the word "EVERY"

Ok so Raheem Brock, Gary Brackett, Nick Harper, Larry Triplett, Mike Doss and Cato June are better than Bruschi, Harrison, Seymour, Law, Vrabel, McGinest and co in juncs mind.

You are fucking delusional dude, fucking delusional.

No but it never ceases to amaze me. I want to see just how far the delusion will go. Now Indy had better defenses than NE from 2001-04. Loooooooool

seriously? you are going to take every word literally? This is so childish.

they allowed LESS pts in regulation in postseason despite playing more road games.

those names are big names b/c Brady rescued that franchise. Those Ds were NOT great Ds, they were incredibly overrated. They nearly blew 2 SBs and then did blow 2 others.

Act like an adult please, can folks knock off the juvenile cursing?

you keep skewing things from 2001-2004, this is about ALL years not just those and the best D of NE or Indy in their SB years was Indy's 2006 SB run.

No its not. It is about 01-04 for NE, I clearly stated that I believe the reason NE hasnt won a title since 04 despite Brady getting better is because they no longer had that balance in all phases. I also clearly stated that Indys D in 2006 was good, and because of that balance they finally won the SB. I have made this clear. Its about complimentary football.

NE D did not blow any SB. They sealed the Philly game with a pick.

    2001: 6th yds, 24th pts
    2003: 1st yds, 7th pts
    2004: 2nd, 9th

    avg: 3rd, 13th

    2006: 2nd, 6th
    2007: 4th, 4th
    2009: 5th, 11th
    2010: 8th, 25th

The D's were fairly similar(stats don't tell us all but give us a gauge) and the Os were better at scoring. why didn't they win?

2001 SB: blew historic 14 pt 4th qtr lead, Brady and O rescued them w/ one of greatest drives in SB history to end game.

2003: allowed 19 4th qtr pts, Brady and O again set up last second GW FG

2007: allow mediocre offense to go 83 yds after Brady and O just went 80 to tak TD lead

2011: allow NYG to 88 yds in final minutes to take 21-17 lead.

The difference btw the first 2 and last 2 SBs was that at least when they choked in the first 2 they left enough time on the clock for Brady to rescue them.

listen sfb, when you not only say something like he chokes in every postseason, but CAPITALIZE it to put extra emphasis on it people are going to take it literally.

you are a fraud as a football debator.

That stings coming from someone who cannot debate.

peyton is a choker but that doesn't mean he has choked every game and every big moment. This is mickey mouse stuff. Come back at me when you can debate my football points(I understand why you are afraid).

Every doesn't mean every once you get called on it just like the 35 yard line isn't near midfield and a pick from the 35 doesn't take points off the board until you need it to be to back up your lack of objectivity

we have just awful posters, lowlives who do nothing to add anything to discussions other than whine about the best posters on the board.

This board used to be great but we allow these nitwits to try to ruin every thread.

Just once could these buffoons discuss football?

EVERY situation is different, b/c one play was on the same yard line doesn't make it the same as another play at or near that same yard line.

I say this all the time- we have more access to info than ever before but average fans just don't seem to understand the game any better. It's sad, we waste so much time talking about this stuff- at least know what you are talking about if you are going to waste this time OR take the lessons being given to you and learn. So sad.
