Can't remember where I heard this, but I know I heard some analyst say that he missed the team picture this year (the starting quarterback) because he was fucked up and overslept. ?? Zero interest in this turd. Especially if he has limited success with the likes of the receiving corps/running back in Tampa.
So Freeman has better stats on worse teams and it's irrelevant? Obviously stats don't tell the whole story but it's obviously not completely irrelevant. If I cared enough I would try and find a comparable situation with Sanchez having better stats on a worse team than someone else and just tell you that the stats are irrelevant and that this other QB is clearly better than Sanchez if you just "watch football games" but A) I don't care that much and B) I'm not entirely convinced there is a QB with worse stats on a better team. For the record I don't want Freeman either as I don't think he's "the answer" but I'm not convinced yet that Geno is either. I am convinced that Sanchez is not "the answer" though.
YES it is irrelevant, he's had plenty of talent especially the last couple of years. This year's D is excellent and he has weapons as good or better than any mark has had. Putting up irrelevant #s in irrelevant games means nothing, I DO want Freeman, I think we should make the no risk move but he has NOT been better than Mark but mark is gone and we need a QB long term.
To be fair, no one really understood that he doesn't go through waivers so this thread was doomed to begin with. Anyway, Schiano sucks.
I did. I saw a mediocre QB throwing for 150-175 yards a game being carried to the playoffs by a strong running game and stout D. In Tampa Bay and Detroit, Sanchez wouldn't have been carried and would have gone 5-11 and never sniffed the playoffs
With Manuel sidelined a few weeks, the Bills should really consider picking up Freeman. Tuel isn't even remotely ready to play at this level and is a pretty mediocre prospect in general. He was awful in college, why would he excel in the pros?
If you saw that then you have no idea what you were watching. In Tampa they would have made the playoffs by now w/ mark.
LOL Freeman had 25 TDs v. only 6 INTs and a 96 passer rating in 2010 (Mark has never had a remotely comparable season) and that only got the Bucs to 10-6 and they still missed the playoffs. Last year, Freeman threw for 4,000+ yards and only 7-9. Sanchez threw for 2,700 last year and was like the 36th ranked QB. Honestly, are you related to Sanchez? I doubt even his relatives care to defend him to this extent though
awesome, how did his playoff run work out? he played an incredibly weak sched and was never seriously in the race. W/ playoff expectations in 2011 he fell flat on his face. last year he started out well and sucked down the stretch which was a big reason why they fell out of the race. last year mark had CHAZ SCHILENS starting, he didn't have Doug Martin to hand off to and Vincent Jackson/Mike Williams to throw to. if he did we would have made the playoffs.
Yeah, here you go. Off ESPN: The Vikings gave Freeman a one-year deal worth about $3 million, according to the source. All totaled, Freeman will make more than $11.4 million until he becomes a free agent this winter, factoring in the $2.479 million the Bucs paid him at the start of the season, $5.9 million in termination pay from the team, and his new deal with Minnesota.
Wow on the money. Also in tonight, Bills season officially over. We signed Pat White to be our starting QB. That's a loss each week the rest of the year. Awesome.
