    New York Jets
The Jets have moved RB Mike Goodson to the active roster and have signed WR Michael Campbell from the practice squad to the active roster...
    New York Jets
The Jets have also released LB Ricky Sapp and WR Ryan Spadola from the active roster.
If Spadola makes it through Waivers, I expect him to be added to the PS in Campbell's spot. I fully expect multiple people in this thread to say the Patriots will sign him and we'll regret ever cutting him (to be fair, I'm a huge Spadola fan and wish we played him more, and hope he makes it through)

Good news in regards to Goodson's hamstring, must not be serious.

really makes no sense to cut Spadola, really deserved to at least have a shot, especially with the WR set that will be playing Monday Night.

Me neither. From the little we saw in preseason, he didn't look all that great. Including dropping an important pass

Is my memory playing tricks or is this the 78th time we've released Ricky Sapp?

I'd take a preseason hero over Clyde fucking Gates any day of the week.
Gates can't even handle the ball on touchbacks.

Yup. Clyde Gates is pretty darn fast. On a track.

The word 'elusive' and Clyde Gates cannot be used in the same sentence. The guy can't get separation to save his life.

Better hands...?! How can you know when we've barely seen Spadola play? We've all seen Gates play, and he still looks very much like the Gates from last year; the one that puts his hands to his helmet "in disbelief", before the ball has even hit the ground.

And play ST better? Yeah, I bet a kid like Spadola could never run the ball from the end zone up to the 14 yrd line, over and over like that...

Then why in the world would the Jets have held on to Spadola and waived Campbell?

because he is a small, white and scrappy WR and therefore everyone hopes he is going to be the next Chrebet

What's Spadola done to make you think he is any better? Just not get a chance to suck like Gates has?

I'm not trying to shit on him, maybe he will become a productive NFL player but i'm not going to sweat cutting a UDFA.

I'm not shocked, but mildly surprised i guess.
OLB and WR are clearly positions of need, and was hoping these 2 guys could contribute.
Anyone know what the current practice squad looks like? maybe they'll clear waivers.

Edit** i thought the Campbell was the OG we drafted. didn't realize it was the WR...

Chrebet was 5-10 (maybe), Spadola is 6-3.
