I wanted Freeman over Sanchez in 09. He's better then Sanchez but since we drafted Smith he doesn't really fit for us right now.
Mark's career playoff record would be 0-0 if he had been drafted by the Bucs and he would have been cut after his 3rd season. Same thing if he had been drafted by the Lions. Freeman and Stafford went to absolutely putrid teams while Sanchez was drafted by a 12-4 caliber team that he managed to drag down to 8-7 (I'm not even going to count the win against the Colts since they lost intentionally by pulling Manning).
Stop with the BS, most professional analysts prefer Freeman to Sanchez and those numbers are not all meaningless. Freeman performed well with limited weapons
:rofl:limited weapons, his weapons the last 2 years are better than any we have had. Most folks who work in front offices would prefer mark. Freeman has all the tools but has never put it together except in garbage time.
a 12-4 caliber team that won 9 games the year before w/ a HOF QB against an easier sched w/ no Tom Brady. Interesting. when has mark had a Doug martin? or a Calvin Johnson? stop w/ the talent nonsense, TB and det have had as much or more talent than Mark has had to work w/ in divisions w/o the pats to deal with. a 12-4 caliber team:rofl::rofl2: you guys crack me up.
We'll see how much folks in front offices prefer Mark this offseason. That's just a ridiculous statement with no backing. How could you possibly know that a front office would prefer Sanchez to Freeman? Freeman has higher upside (size, arm, mobility) and submitted the best individual season between the 2 (by far) in 2010. Even with the attitude issues, he'll likely be more coveted as a backup/competition for starter than Mark.
Sanchez has had plenty of talent around him. He might not have had a mega tron but he struggled with a very talented group of receivers to throw to, he was protected by a dominant O-Line, had quality RB's.
Freeman also didnt need a color coded system during his rookie season to guide him through his issues
Brett Favre threw 22 TDs and 22 INTs that season. Is that HOF QB level play to you? I guess the answer is probably yes considering you think Mark putting up 70 passer ratings qualifies as good QB play. Jets were 8-3 and playing as the best team in football prior to Favre's meltdown. With good QB play all year, we head to the playoffs in 2008 as the faves to make the SB. Jets had the #1 D and rush offense in 2009. I need a good laugh, look up how Tampa Bay and Detroit's Ds and running games fared in 2009. Then tell me they were all drafted into the same situation. Clown
maybe that is why he sucked? Freeman never even had TB in the race, 2 years ago TB was supposed to be a playoff team and were out by October. Last year they had a great start and he folded down the stretch. The next big game he wins will be his first.
He's a HOF QB though, right? so if we could only win 9 w/ a weaker sched, no Brady and a HIF QB how were we a 12 win caliber team? #1 in rankings, our rush O was good not great and the D folded in big spots numerous times. You use your rankings, I'll use my eyes. I guarantee no one of you guys has watched Freeman actually play more than a game or 2.
Team ranks in 2009 Overall defense: Jets - #1 Tampa Bay - #27 Detroit - #32 Rush yards/game Jets - #1 Tampa Bay - #23 Detroit - #24 Team ranks in 2010 Overall defense: Jets - #3 Tampa Bay - #17 Detroit - #21 Rush yards/game: Jets - #4 Tampa Bay - #8 Detroit - #23 POOR MARK, HE HAD IT SO TOUGH THOSE FIRST 2 YEARS
Freeman is a vested veteran so he can sign with any team without going through waivers since he was cut before the trade deadline.
I can't think of a team trying to take a shot on him right now. Maybe Minnesota? I think everyone either believes in their current QB or wants to see where their current QB is going to end up
busch gardens maybe? i think the bucs made a smart move. there is no future with freeman. he isn't a franchie qb there. it was inevitably going to end this year anyway. the sooner the cut him the faster they can move on with no distraction.(atleast not at qb).
No. He takes Adderall for ADHD and some douchebag in the TB organization blew the whole situation up, trying to make him look like a drug addict.
