    I'd take him for a 7th, maybe even a 6th

Too much baggage between injuries and legal issues. But if we could get him for a 5th round pick (like we did with Holmes), I think he's a player worth considering.

BINGO. 100% with this, BUT I do agree with the fact if we can get a serviceable WR for this season, do it

Britt's "legal issues" are a whole lot of much ado about nothing. Many of the charges were dismissed, and the gravest was smoking pot.

Secondly he's a beast and owns all the records he does for a reason.

He's not a head case, he just needs focus, why can't we offer that?

sometimes people really just need a change of scenery, it seems toxic in tennessee with him and the titans. if we trade a 7th-6th round pick for him there is NO HARM. if it doesn't work out, he leaves after the year. if it does work out, we can give him a contract extension. 6th and 7th round picks don't mean shit, especially with the amount of later picks we have

Haha..of course they are shopping him..they couldn't get a team to take him for free even if they threw in a 1st round pick to go with him.

He's only 23, I believe. If you believe he can be relatively healthy and stay decently out of trouble, he's an incredible guy to buy low on. He's practically a rookie age wise, but has proven that he has the talent to be a beast of a WR. Definitely someone to kick the tires on.

He has an 8 yr/ $120 mil contract with something like $50 mil guaranteed. It would take at least our 1st and possibly then some as awesome as he would be it would severely hurt our ability to fill holes next offseason after we cut Holmes and Sanchez. Rather draft a WR in a heavy draft for WR talent and develop them.

Yeah , You don't need to have a fitz as long as your WR's can just catch a pass now and then.

Might as well fire him now if you're going to think that.

Funny ... Almost exactly a year ago we were in the same spot ... Going into a Monday night game with no WR's against a much more talented Texans team.

So what I'm saying is this ... Line up Cromartie at WR and maybe Geno won't throw the ball 5 yards out of bounds when he blows past the corner for a wide open TD.

I'd try that before I touch Kenny Britt with a 10' pole.

Its funny, as I was watching the game I thought to myself, as soon as this game is over they are trading Kenny B to the Jets.

How is this a WR heavy draft? Besides, drafting a WR in the first round doesn't guarantee a dynamic offense or player. Take a look at the stats for the three WRs drafted in the first round this year. Austin has 8 receptions for 60 yards. Patterson has done less . And these players are on teams that need weapons. If the Jets draft a WR in the first round, expect 1-2 years of low production while the player develops with a pretty high bust percentage . Seeing how people are losing patience with our rookie QB after 4 games, players like Austin or Paterson would already be labeled as busts by our intelligent fan base and Idzik would be labeled a failure for having drafted one of them. You dont just plug and play a rookie WR and get #1 production.

I dont think it's 100% fair to call him a head case. He had some stupid arrests in Tennessee, I dont remember the details of all of them, but you have to remember the difference between what constitutes an arrest in the deep in the south and a minor incident that may or may not get tweeted about in NYC. I remember one of his "big off the field incidents" was for trying to swallow or crush a blunt roach, and they called it "resisting arrest". I mean come on.

The injury thing is what makes half of me say no. Think about it, his career's been injury after injury after injury. And he seems to lose a little bit of himself after each one. And that's just not at all what we need from our recievers. Holmes, Hill, Kerley, Gates, they've all missed time 4 GAMES INTO THE SEASON.

On the other hand look at his stats in his first three games before his ACL injury 3 years ago. He's like well over 100 yards per game with a handful of TDs. If a doctor could tell me with certainty that that guy still exists, I'd do it. For a 5th. That's what Brandon Lloyd got. I see them on the same level.

Austin plays for a crappy Schotty offense. Viqueens have frikken Christian Ponder/Matt Casell throwing the ball. And you can't say that DeAndre Hopkins isn't productive for the Texans.
