This comes out this Friday...I for one am excited because I love Alfonso Cuaron's movies...See Children of Men. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are in this and the reviews are generating serious oscar buzz. James Cameron talks about the film, which he is very impressed by http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3252018/james-cameron-says-gravity-is-the-best-space-film-ever/
I'm going to see it but before we anoint the best here are my two. Apollo 13 Alien-It was one of the great creepy movie experiences of all time.
I didn't catch it on the big screen. I tried to watch it a couple of times and didn't get through it. Space movies for the most part have sucked. The only reason I liked 2001 was I was a young stoner. Alien was a space movie in the sense that Jaws was a movie about the ocean. You might as well call them both a horror movie. Apollo 13 I thought was terrific in every way.
You nerds and your space movies should check out Barbarella to see young Jane Fonda get her panties took off.
Not knowledgable about rotten tomatoes ratings etc but the movie isn't out yet how can people grade? I am not a moviegoer but I will probably watch this on Friday as soon as it is out.
the 97% is the the collection of reviews from critics...97% of the critics gave the film amazing reviews
Its at 98%...Take a look, this is why the film will be a amazing experience http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/gravity_2013/
This means nothing. That's happens with almost every movie. Starts out high as hell before it comes out and then drops significantly.
Sorry to burst your bubble but this film has already been reviewed by the majority 114 positive reviews, 2 negative reviews. What else is there to make it drop?
well of the "top critics", it's 100% (47 out of 47). But that happens every once in a while. What's amazing is their average rating is 9.3 out of 10. That never happens, usually it's like 7 or 8 at best I'm not understanding what makes this movie so good, especially with Bullock & Clooney who never in a million years would I believe are astronauts. Guess I have to see it, heh
I saw it tonight. I thought it was pretty good, but I'm big into sci-fi. If you're into sci-fi, it's kinda like Speed in space. If you don't like sci-fi, you may feel like its Open Water in space lol.
Movie was nuts, I felt like I was holding for dear life throughout the whole film. Sandra Bullock was terrific but the directing and amazing visuals blew me away
