It doesn't, but neither does stat tracking 3 games in. It's just fun. :D

I think I checked Manning the other day and he's on pace for 6000 yards and 64 TDs or something insane like that. The TDs are of course skewed by week 1.

My point was, that while it may be fun figuring out Geno's pace for yardage, his pace/total for TDs to turnovers might not be as MUCH fun :)

I do like the tracking thingy, though.

Can you add some notable QBs as rookies

    Payton Manning
    Eli Manning
    Tom Brady (1st year starting)
    John Elway
    Joe Montana
    Dan Marino
    Drew Brees

That't getting out of hand. The point of this was to compare him to the other guys who were drafted in last year or the year before's draft. Not the entire history of the NFL.

Not to mention it was a totally different league when some of those guys were rookies. Too many variables

    Hasn't Geno lost 3 fumbles?

I don't appreciate your very misleading out of context sig/quote. That was posted in the NE game thread I believe during the first 3 quarters when Geno did look like the vet compared to the rest of the O, mainly the inept WRs. Real douche move there.

bloke911 I apologize I thought your sig was meant to mislead but I went back and checked out your other posts and I see that it's not as it appears that you are a Sanchez hater and/or Geno supporter and that's why you quoted me for your sig.

so after 4 weeks geno has the most total passing yards among his peers at this point, and obviously the most turnovers as well.

oh and something else I noticed, his stats are near identical to that of Flacco's right now.

    total yards: 1,090 - 1,091

    completion percentage: 57.4 - 57.4

    Interceptions: 8 - 7

    1st down%: 30.9- 30.2

    sacks: 14 - 12

a little eerie, just a little. and Smith has also been throwing long a lot next to every other QB right now, 21 throws have been beyond 20 yards, tied with freaking peyton manning only surpassed by Vick And B.Roth

Mornhinweg really wants his rookie to be a gunslinger with a less ideal environment. I'm curious as to how many passes the other rookies were taking this far.

WCO plays usually attack multiple levels of the defense (i.e., short, intermediate and long) and there is usually always a check off available to the RB or TE. We don't know if MM that's pushing Geno to go more for the deeper routes; it could be Geno that prefers doing so.

    No problem man!

    That's really really strange lol

Biggest difference? One of those guys is a rookie and the other just signed a gigantic contract lol

The injuries to the WRs may force MM and/or Geno to utilize the RBs and TEs more in the passing game which should offer less risk of turning the ball over. I don't think we are throwing to the RBs and TEs enough.

Which seems like what he was doing with Winslow late in the game. He kept throwing to him as a safety valve.

I think we will see a lot more passes to the RBs also. Goodson is coming back this week.

The thread will stay on it's own and anyone who tries to turn this into another Sanchez bashing thread or anything that doesn't have to do w/ this topic will be dealt with accordingly.

As I stated before, I wanted to leave this thread on it's own.
    Nice job OP!

Does no one else have a problem with the amount of turnovers and how is this better than Sanchez?
