Was there a detailed reasoning behind his release? Rex hyped him up (as he does every situation), but with his size, I thought he was bound to be a solid replacement after T-Rich.

I think he was talked up in Hard Knocks more that he should have been and wasn't as good as he was made out to look. Not sure the exact details as to why he was cut, though. I would like to know, too.

Maybe if he never got hurt he would've been kept around.

I like Tommy Bohanon, I think he brings more versatility to the full back position then John Connor.

The guy was going for highlight blocks; He never sealed a block or created a crease he use to just blow up the play positive or negative for the team

Agreed, I've really liked what our new fullback has brought to the team.

He should've been out of this team earlier but the helicoptor block moment bought him some extra time.

    He wasn't as good as a 300-year old T-Rich

I think there were two reasons

    1) he couldn't run

    2) he couldn't catch

the stopgaps that replaced him were better and Tommy Bohannan, currently the FB is much better

One trick pony at a position that isn't all that necessary for this offense? He was injured to finish last year and with the west coast hes not really a fit. He cant catch and not much of a runner. Good enough power blocker but he doesnt do that well enough to justify it.

Yep, most said it, but he was a special teams player. He made killer big blocks in the open field, but when it came to standard run blocking and catching/running the ball he just wasn't built for it.
