I agree.. Just hope this team doesn't lay an egg next Monday night like they usually do on National TV. Would be great to have some momentum going into our tough 5 game stretch.
I thought I was only getting to one away game this year, the annual trek up to Foxboro, but it turns out that I'm going to Atlanta next week. 10 live Jet games--at least! _
mine hasn't changed I never thought we were as bad as the Media experts told us we were. 9-7, maybe 10-6
I'm on record saying we'd either start 4-0 or 3-1. Not moving on my 8 to 10 wins projection til I see if we do that. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 4
This schedule isnt overly difficult, we could be looking at a 1-3 Falcons team and an 0-4 Steelers team. You are what your record says you are, IDC about the teams history, they are bad teams if they have those records. Our D line will put Roethlisberger on the ground. Lets win this week and see what happens.
It's not overly difficult at all. Steelers have a terrible o-line and a non-existent running game. As long as we dont' turn the ball over in our own territory, we'll be fine. The Falcons D is struggling, but Matt Ryan's record in the Georgia Dome is too good, and home teams on Monday night football win a lot more than they lose. Also, I noticed that the Saints Rush D is 31st in the league in terms of ypc (5.3). That's pitiful.
I was expecting a dismal season, and after these last three games, my expectations have certainly risen. Between the dominance of this defense, and the play of Geno, I am feeling pretty good about the long term future of this team, especially considering that 7 of the defensive starters have 2 years of less experience. My expectations for this season as of right now have gone from a dismal 3-313 campaign to right around .5OO. These nest 5 games are gonna tell us a lot more about this team. TN, ATL, NE, and the Bengals will all be good tests. The only patsie we have in this stretch is Pittsburg, and we had better beat them, and soundly. I expect that game will pad the teams sack stat pretty good. If we can come out of this 5 game stretch 3-2 or even 4-1, then I believe we can make a playoff run. We'll just have to see how it all plays out.
My initial expectations was 6-8 wins as a result of inconsistent offensive play and a defense keeping us in it. If the Jets can continue to play like they have through the first three weeks, I'd feel comfortable bumping up my expectations a little bit, to the 7-9 win territory (note, to clarify, a record between 7-9 and 9-7)
Don't get all depressed and walk in front of a bus when the Jets prove your prediction to be pure garbage. We can't afford to lose a fan as solid as you are
I honestly thought 4-12 going into the season. Definitely another 10 pick for next year. Now I think we optimistically finish 7-9, which I'm more than happy with in Geno's first year.
