We'll be fighting for the wildcard until week 16. There will be very high and low points left for us to endure. However we do this year, next year will be better.
I feel pretty sure the Jets won't be 12-4 this year... LOL. That's just love talking... BTW I have idea how good or bad the Patriots are this year. Likely won't until the half-way point. The next five for the Pats are: Falcons, Bengals, Saints, Jets and Dolphins.
I really like this. I just have a hard time seeing us beat NE and Baltimore. Even then though we go 9-7
I see us at 4-2 hosting New England, who will be either 4-2 or 3-3 (they aren't beating Atlanta in Atlanta on a Sunday night, they will lose to NO, and may lose to the Bengals). It will be a tough game, but I think it'll be that game we remember for years to come. Baltimore does not impress me. I have them #16 in my power rankings (Jets are #14).
I'm still on track with my prediction I called 10-6. No Sanchez has us playing with house money. This season was a success before it began.
This is actually looking possible. Not sure about the Ravens though. It would be pretty cool if that last game against Miami has playoff implications.
Let's take it easy with the "all world defense" stuff. We've played 2 lousy QB's and Tom Brady throwing to a bunch of receivers recruited out of the stands (and he still managed to win). Let's play a team with a real offense before we induct Ryan into the Hall of Fame, OK?
I guess he got luckier then we did with the receivers we recruited out of our stands. We obviously lost because of them.
I went into the season thinking 8-8, with a std deviation of 1 game, cause i follow the actual team and not the press clippings claiming doom. I still feel 8-8, with a std deviation of 1 game. Although i feel a little better on the odds of the deviation being + rather than -. There is plenty to be encouraged about, but there will also be some more rough/low points this season. Question is, can some of you handle the inevitable dip weeks coming? Or is the overreacting 'fire everyone' crowd just waiting to feed into the media negativity which will follow? My advice is to watch with your own eyes, tune off the radio/net, and enjoy the positive direction this team is heading in. I surely am..
We have to split with the Pats to make the playoffs.Thats why that loss hurts when we shoulda won that game. Now obviously we can make the playoffs otherwise,im just basing this on Rexs first two years
I said anywhere from 8 to 10 wins, depending on how we fare in close games. So far, I see nothing that would warrant me abandoning that outlook. Our defense will keep us in almost every game we play. When the offense plays well, we will be very hard to beat. We'll win a handful of exceedingly close games that we easily could have lost and lose a handful of exceedingly close games that we easily could have won. Whichever handful is bigger will determine whether we are a playoff team or not.
13-3 #2 seed in the playoffs behind the Broncos. Jets roll to their first AFC East title since 2002. Jets @ Broncos in the AFCCG. Edit: Game by game... Titans: Win Falcons: Loss Steelers: Win Patriots: Win Bengals: Win Saints: Loss Bills: Win Ravens: Win Dolphins: Win Raiders: Win Panthers: Win Browns: Win Dolphins: Win
I don't see anything that gives me more optimism other then the reality that the league over all is in decline. This is a 6 to 8 win team in the current NFL. Mediocre teams get lucky and win 9 or 10 and make the playoffs. Mediocre teams have bad luck and win 4 or 5. That's right were I expected the Jets to be this year and I haven't seen anything yet to change that.
After the Titans those 5 games are going to be rough stretch...Will be great to see how Geno overcomes those games
