It's funny when people think trading a player that has trade value is crazy, but trading away our trash is feasible as though only the Jets know Kyle Wilson stinks.
It's pronounced San-Cheez not Cromartie. That's who we should trade. While watching the game, I saw the most ugliest cheerleader on the sideline. However it was Mark with his headband.
C'mon now make your mind up. No, he isn't great , I'll say he's very good at what he does though. But he cannot cut/adjust his speed to keep up with the more nimble elite players. He's a big rangy CB who has good sprint and back peddle ability . He can also get a big mit on the ball using his size, all very good, but he is not great Yes he is essential but not in the same way Revis was. That isn't comparing.
Lol. After a fucking WIN we've had ppl suggest firing Rex, cutting Wilson and trading Cro. LMAO. After a goddam win.
Revis had issues with the nimble elites at times also. Obviously he's better proportioned to stop and start on a dime than Cro but when the Jets got burned big time it was usually a slot receiver doing the damage and putting Revis on him did not stop the bleeding.
coaches may think they can fix him being that he is a former first round pick. Its not like hes a bust just inconsistent.Your telling me a team like the Giants or other weak secondarys? Might be able to get a 4 th for hin
Revis got around that with bumping at LOS, (he is one strong SOB) and most of the time it worked. Revis also 'holds' quite a bit too and gets away with it.
To answer the OP's question, why yes, I would be surprised if we traded our #1 CB in the middle of a season where he is playing quite well and seems happy to be playing for the Jets. I would also be surprised if a blue whale landed on my head right here in the mountains of Idaho, but I guess I will wait for that question to be posed in another thread.
Yeah, Revis definitely hand checks more than most CB's and he gets away with it. He redirects receivers in the grey area just outside 5 yards a lot. He'll put a hand out and force them inside or outside depending on what the situation calls for. He gets away with those because he's the best and the NFL refs have always protected the best.
Those who can play man to man. Those who can't play zone. Cromartie plays man to man. Revis plays zone, and maybe for a reason. Perhaps we kept the right DB.
What if he could net a first and a conditional? Maybe a first and a conditional fourth that could become a second or something. I think they would definitely consider it.
I might possibly consider thinking about it. But no, I would hope we're not trading Cro nor IMHO should we. He seems to have matured by leaps and bounds, has become a leader and I see him being here for quite a few more years. _
You don't trade your best corner. If Milliner was playing like he was projected to, and not like he is, I'd lightly consider trading him for a big time receiver, but hell no
With what you suggested they'd definitely consider it jcass, but I seriously doubt Cro could net a 1st let alone a 1st AND a high (2nd - 3rd) conditional.
Lol at OP thinking he was going to get some kind of rational conversation about trading a good player.
