Would any of you be surprised if Cromartie Is traded before the deadline? We drafted Dee, if Walls continues to develop I can see him start to play a much bigger role not to mention Cromartie has looked stiff these last 3 weeks. Do you think this will be a move we try to make? Discuss. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
Personally I like Kyle, hes always on the field in nickle and dime situations btw. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
I don't see them trading him. We need the experience at corner to have a dominant defense with a rookie QB
A classic case of overthinking team building. In season trades rarely happen. Our young corners are only playing decent at best and horrible at times. Rex loves Corners who can dominate in press man coverage with no help over top. We are currently 2-1 and only One game back in the division. Those are all good reasons why this would be a horrible idea. We are not the browns and in fire sale mode. Just have fun watching this defense.
Only way the Jets even consider trading Cromartie is if they lose their next 5 games, since week 8 is the trade deadline under the New CBA.
is a serious question?? Cromartie obviously must have been pretty effective yesterday and he saved a touchdown on the broken running play. He is not going anywhere. Just nuts to even think it.
Cro has been playing hurt and still playing solid. Once he gets healthy (and he's getting there) we will see Cro from last year.
From a competitive standpoint trading Cromartie is not a crazy idea if the Jets are 3-5 at the mid-season point. It is very hard to do under the cap though. There's a lot of dead money that hits the books right away if the Jets deal Cro this year. I suspect that one of the factors in not cutting Sanchez this year was that it left the potential to make an in-season trade of somebody like Cromartie or Harris if that turned out to be the way to go.
Can't trade Cro. That would leave us to weak at corner going forward. If they were 0-3 I could understand it, not at 2-1 though.
Do you have any idea what the cap implications would be if such a deal went down? Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
It's too early for me to do math without looking like a fool. That said overthecap has him with $10M+ in dead money if he is cut this year and a salary of $840K. That usually means a big hit on a trade as well.
We are 2-1 with one of the best defenses in the league and we want to trade away our best corner? Brilliant idea.
