The Jets did not beat the Titans last season. They had two chances right at the end, but Mark threw a bad pick, then fumbled on the next series after a shanked punt.
Next two are road games....if we take one, be very happy. 3-2 is awesome....2-3 might be realistic with this team. 4-1 makes you giddy though, no lie.
It is definitely a possibility to leave Tennessee next Sunday at 3-1. Wouldn't that be something? No turnovers, play defense, and keep the chains moving on offense.
We could have easily been 0-3. Every game so far had no business being as close and at time shitty as they were. This is anotber question mark game. Cant get the feel for any team. Hope jets win. Sent from my LG-VM670 using Tapatalk 2
Watching the Titans today you need to stop Locker ... he was running all over the place today. 5/68 with a TD. He kept drives alive and took advantage of over aggressive defensive lineman. Will be a big test for the front 7.
This is a game that will be telling if this team wants to make the postseason or not. The Titans are right in the mix, have some things going for them, as do we. This wont be easy but its not supposed to be.
What about Tennessee has improved from 2012? They were terrible last year. Somehow they are (2-1) right now and favored to beat the Jets (-5)? Is Jake Locker all of a sudden not terrible? Just wondering. Obviously Geno needs to play well and eliminate turnovers, but the Jets should have a good chance of pulling out a road win.
From what I hear their defense is much better than it was last year. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
Definitely will be a telling game for our offense and defense. I expect the defense to show up and hopefully contain CJ. The offense though, they need to step it up early and often. If the run is working, keep at it and it'll open up the pass plays. Would hate to see how we fair if for some reason we can't contain CJ and he runs wild on us. Offensive responses early and often are key.
Titans are a good football team but we can hang with them. Avoid turnovers, contain their run game and we will have a shot to win it. Id like to avenge that ugly loss last yr.
from what i can tell, the o line has improved, lockers gotten better and they're better at playing in the clutch. The Titans are not unbeatable but they're pesky as hell. give them an inch they take a mile. they seem like the perfect squad to host a trap game.
this is a game the Jets match up well for. we can shut down the run and Locker isn't good enough on his own to pick apart our secondary despite its deficiencies. their defense will likely play the run as well, like most teams think they should do against us, and their secondary doesn't give me pause that Geno can't be succesful against them.
This is definitely a winnable game. Not a walk through the park but we've been solid against the run so far, not great with RBs in the passing game though. I think we're pretty healthy though, we'll have to see what the story is with Ivory but at least Powell is doing a pretty good job ripping off some nice long runs. The Titans game is also the last of Goodson's suspension if I'm not mistaken so we'll have some RB help coming soon.
