You phony, you're the last person to be telling anyone anything. Your're the one in the "Thoughts From Tonight's Patriots Game" thread who described Jets DL coach Karl Dunbar, an African-American suffering from Vitilgo with these following gems: Now, you were saying? ..... -
How is that phony??? If anything u prove my point further. I described him for what he was, half white half black. We can label people by height, weight, age, occupation, whatever but as soon as someone references color everyone makes an issue or gets sensitive. Get over it!! How many times is obama referred to as the first BLACK president??? Should they stop???
You are making fun of the guy's skin disease and calling him a creature. He's not half black, half white, WTF! Sorry but that's crossing the line, IMO. People don't use diseases and animal names to describe people's appearance unless they are making fun of them. It's poor form. If you've got an issue with his actual coaching or his impact on the game, then lets talk about it, but what you are doing is the epitome of slander (whether it's about race or not, it's still wrong and has nothing to do with football).
Karl Dunbar is not bi-racial, he's a black man who just happens to have the skin disease vitiligo, and he is self-confident enough not to feel the need to wear makeup to have his skin look the way it would if he didn't have the disease. He has to wear a CPAP machine when he sleeps because he has sleep apnea, and unfortunately due to vitiligo, the mask took away the skin pigmentation around most of his face. (Any bruise or cut or prolonged pressure causes the pigmentation on that area of his skin to disappear forever.) That doesn't magically change what race he is, or make him white, or make him not black. It doesn't make him a "creature" or diminish his humanity in any way. And there's more to race than just how dark one's skin is. Dunbar is a great guy and a great defensive line coach, maybe the best in the league (turning undrafted guys like Harrison into great players.) The Jets are lucky to have a coach like him, and to suggest that he should lose his job just because of how his skin looks is just wrong, and un-American. Also, the only involvement Karl Dunbar has had with drugs was when he was arresting drug dealers. He's a former police officer (which is yet another reason why he deserves respect.) Here's an article about him and his condition: http://nypost.com/2012/12/16/jets-dunbar-condition-made-me-stronger/
don't forget all those passes right into his hands that he dropped! team needed a shakeup and he was the obvious choice.......hmy:
