Shame both of those teams won't pay him Revis money.

Doesn't Revis' contract allow him to be cut with no cap hit after this year? It's basically a yearly contract if I remember correctly?

So he could get cut in the offseason, then come sign here realizing nobody is gonna offer him 16 million a season? Just speculating haha

I'm wondering if Revis is laying some groundwork here, although not sure how much juice he has in Tampa. Would anyone be surprised if Schiano and Rex were fired after this season which would set up the potential for a Rex and Revis reunion in Tampa. I hope Rex is back next season and am not in the fire-Rex camp but the potential is there for him to get fired depending on what goes down this season. Tampa has a stacked D with some playmakers on offense. Heck, we might even be able to get a draft pick for Sanchez in this scenario and Rex would only have to make minor alterations to his tat. Conspiracy theory? Maybe, but just because you're being paranoid does not mean you're not being followed.

Revis tweeted he is happy to be a Buc and resident of TB, but didn't say anything about Schiano which leads me to believe this is true.

What a terrible "football life" on tv right now...

They're making it appear as if the Jets had no confidence he could come back healthy. It's the Jets fault he is gone. It's all on the gang green. Revis didn't care about the moolah, he only wanted to win!

Yeah yeah sure you fucking bias idiots... he obviously does care about the green, and i'm not talkin nyj..

I could honestly see Revis being back him in 2 years, well at least i hope. The Bucs are horrible, they have so much talent but it seems like their coach is in over his head. They pretty much have very little cap room left and still have young stars who they potentially want to keep in house, (Doug Martin, Mark Barron, Lavonte David). I could see them cutting Revis if they dont make the playoffs in the next few years.

I just tweeted NFLN should be ashamed of themselves. What a joke. They acted like the Jets gave up on Revis. He wanted to be there but they said no. It was such horse shit. Really pissed me off. But the end had Sanchez giving him a hug, so it made up for it.

the way Rex and Revis greeted each other leads me to believe he'll never come back here.

How awesome would it be if Revis just went to TB for a year to get us a #1 draft pick in a "rebuilding" year. He knew he would need to rehab that knee and we would be mediocre at best this year anyway. That's why he didn't take any guaranteed money to play for Tampa. He'll be back next year and join our CB corps with 4 1st rounders. We'll have our new #1 nickel Dee Milliner, and our #1 dime Kyle Wilson.

    But really, fuck Revis.

Why would Tampa cut him a year after giving up a first-rounder? Unless he pulls his normal holdout bs I suppose. After getting through a season healthy (if he does) you KNOW he'll want guaranteed money and go nuclear to get it.

Revis is not coming back. Friend of mine works with Woody Johnson....he is STILL pissed he held out in 2010.

This was personal....I just wonder if Woody's dislike for Revis filters down to Rex who loves him.

You mean 2 teams with massive problems right now?
neither are going anywhere this year. and for the Giants, might mean 4th missed playoffs in 5 seasons.

he'd only go to the team with the highest offer. Nothing else would matter in the decision process. of course he'd spin whatever team it is to make it seem like it wasn't just about the money (but we'd know the truth).

    /sarcasm

But seriously guys, he's not coming back. Jesus some of you act like he's "the one that got away."
