Right, so... Peyton "the choker" didn't dissect our D in the AFCC. Rather, he lucked into playing an "overrated Defense," and thus, the game was handed to him.

    You're a freakin joke.

Thanks for bringing that up. He beat Tom Brady and Peyton Manning head to head in the playoffs.

Have the Jets done that since Sanchez has not been starting QB? Hmm?

He also has 7 interceptions and a rating of 75.9 and his team is paying the price for his mistakes. Sound familiar?

all of it other than the 800 yards and 5 tds. it would be more like 220 yards, 1 td 7 ints and 48% completion.

but you know those silly statistics things dont mean anything in the context of the junc.

Elis stats are overrated, 400 yards per losing game, and 7 ints in both losses.

Obviously the ints impacted the games more hence the losses. Yes not all Td's and interceptions are equal, but Eli's picks are brutal.

I think Eli is mid pack qb who does well in pressure situations, Id say he's Sanchez but with much better offensive weapons.

The superbowls were more team oriented rather than his so called mvp. Best things he did in playoffs , simply is he did not turn over the ball.

I'd wouldn't be surprised if both a Eli and Mark were coming out of college, Mark would be drafted higher... Wouldn't be surprised

You guys are still aruging about this guy? His days with the Jets are over. Accept it and move on. 851 pages of I love Sanchez's grundel will never bring him back.

Agreed. Eli's picks are generally of the soul-crushing variety. They aren't the good punt types of picks we typically see QBs heaving from around midfield or the 35 yard line or anything.

Eli played pretty well in the playoffs but that doesn't really matter because their D was really good too. And he still doesn't have as many ROAD wins as Sanchez.

Eli has had some terrible stats but he has the tools, technique and confidence to make solid plays. There are some games he plays like Mark Sanchez in terms of turnovers but Eli would also throw like 450 yards and Sanchez would never sniff 400 yard passing.

Eli's stats are horrendous right now. Would be awesome if he threw 5 TDs and 20 INTS.

Nowhere have I ever said he was the only person capable of helping us on that run, obviously that isn't true but I bring it up when folks like you dismiss everything he did for us and act like anyone could have when the facts are a much better QB w/ similar talent, weaker sched and no Brady couldn't even get us to the playoffs.

He had a rare great postseason game against us, I give him credit for it. a game later he was back to himself throwing away the SB. All time great QB w/o a doubt but his playoff failures will always be part of the discussion.

most asinine post ever created on this board.

luckily my fans are always working.

That is the point, he has sucked but average fans think he has been great b/c of his TDs and yards. I have people that tell me Eli was better than mark in 2010 b/c he had more TDs and yards and they ignore his 25 INts including 4 in their biggest game of the year.

Eli put up great garbage time points, mark has never been a good garbage time QB which is why people think he is worse than he has been. He was horrible last year w/ awful talent- he was part of the problem not THE problem but b/c most fans evaluate based strictly on #s w/o context they think he can never play in this league and that every loss 2009-2012 was on him.

you are a worthless poster which sucks b/c you have ability.

Eli has more road playoff wins by the way but the difference btw 2 SB titles for him and 2 title game losses for mark was the D/STs of NYG & NYJ. Switch the QBs we get the same team results.

when has Mark ever had the talent Eli has had? He's never had a Cruz or Nicks, Randle might be our #1 right now and he is Eli's 3rd/4th option.

cruz was an udfa... nicks has been hurt quite a bit.

you know the same things you say about the jets in order to protect sancho, is just as much of bullshit when people try to protect eli.

Favre was hurt. Even if Favre tried to play through his injury it affected his play. And based on Sanchez 09 I think any other QB could have played for us that year.

who cares that Cruz was an UDFA? he's one of the best WRs in the game, Nicks has been banged up here and there but has never played less than 13 games.

NYG has done a great job surrounding their QB w/ talent.

talent already w/ NYG when he arrived:
Amani Toomer- well above average WR
Jeremy Shockey- one of best pass catching TEs
Tiki Barber- elite RB both in run game and pass game

players they acquired after Eli was drafted:
Plax: top WR, played 4 years and would have played more if he didn't shoot himself
Brandon Jacobs- very good complimentary back
Steve Smith- above average WR before injuries ruined career
    Ahmad Bradshaw- excellent complimentary back
    Mario Manningham- good WR
    Kevin Boss- solid TE
    Hakeem Nicks- very good WR
Victor Cruz- best slot guy in the game
Rueben Randle- starting to come into his own

    That is ridiculous.

Compare that to what we have done for Mark and let me know what you find.
