are you serious with that line. You wish they are out for the year? Two young stud defenders. We are 1 and 1 and could be 2 and 0 . We have winnable games coming up... Really ridiculous to say something like that.
I don't think either injury is serious, at least not from post-game comments. The Colon and Ferguson ejections, now, those could be serious if they have to miss a game, although I think most of the sacks on Geno were due to holding the ball too long. I counted 5+ seconds from snap to sack on almost every one so the o-line held up tonight. But losing those two would still hurt.
Having died by a QB making huge bone head mistakes game after game i've become immune to them. So now when we have Geno making some of the same mistakes, I can smile a little because I know it's probably the last time i'll have to watch THAT same mistake again. When Geno ran out of the endzone for a safety, I simply said "well, cross that fuck up off the list, he'll never do that again', and he most likely won't. Slowly the 'good Geno' with the composure and rocket arm will take over more and more of his play, and the 'rookie Geno' with rookie mistakes will fade into a distant memory.
Especially this early in the season. If you are going to do it wait till after the bye weeks start so these guys get their conditioning at full speed. MO had cramps last week and no what appears to be an ankle or foot injury. No they aren't related but you have to wonder how much going at such short intervals during the preseason and then 2 real games in 7 days right out the gate effects these guys.
I believe after that dominating performance against the Pats at home, our Defense will be rated in the top 5. No defense has EVER held Brady to 3 of 20 3rd down conversions since the Jets did it to them almost 10 years ago. And our Defense gave Geno 3 full series in the 4th qtr to tie or win the game. Plus they ran over and bitch slapped the entire NE bench for good measure and no NE player could even point to the score board because they were getting their faces punched in.
Ugh. You, sir, are the worst kind of fan imaginable. Richardson needs snaps, so does Wilks. They will only get better and being out for the year will only hinder development. How could you possibly root for season ending injuries to our best players? Go follow another team. We don't want your kind here.
This team is snake bitten. We need a pass rush. We need our 3 young DL (/OLB) on the field. Mark my words, Coples, Mo & Sheldon will never play consecutively together. One will always be hurt. (the pessimist in me is rearing).
not that i'd want anyone from the o-line suspended...but of any i might want to give mangold a week off to rest his elbow...though it seemed fine today. happily.
Coples is a real factor. He can put on a pass rush and had 5.5 sacks last year even though he didn't play earlier in the season.
Leave it to Pats fans to demonstrate their completely lack of any class whatsoever. I can't believe they were booing Wilkerson as he got carted off. Even the announcers were getting on them about that. You don't boo injuries. It's not like the hurry up was killing us or anything, the Patriots could barely move the ball against us. I could see if they were obvious fakes (ie NY Giants) but they weren't. You never hear that type of shit at Metlife, even when Pats fans are there. It really shows the difference in character between NY and Boston. Where is that 7 year old kid? Let's make him the mascot for all home division games, especially against the classless patriot fans. We need to be more harsh to Pats fans at Metlife.
Didn't you just quote a Jets fan wishing season ending injuries on Jets players? People need to stop with this idea that the worst fans out of huge groups of fans represent the entire fanbase
You can also add the butt fumble. Although Powell ran right into Austin Howards gut. If he fumbled we would be seeing the gut fumble over and over. There were more than a group of fans that were booing. If you can hear them on tv that is a large subset of fans that are booing. They are also unintelligent because it did not stop the clock or slow down their no huddle as they thought.
I mean there is a difference between being ignorant and caught up in the moment and being classless. Sports fans aren't exactly known for being the most intelligent bunch. If you are admitting that they were booing because they thought he was faking then I don't see the big deal.
What does it really matter if people are booing? I'll use this opportunity to bring up another pet peeve of mine in sports, and that is the idea of "you can't wish injury" on a player or else you're some un-human, POS. I dont understand this. There is a difference between wishing that an injury takes an opposing player out of the game, actually being on the field and trying to injure, or wishing their career is over. If I was a player, no way would I attempt to injure a fellow player. But as a fan, hell yeah I want Tom Brady or whomever else to not play against the team I root for. I dont want the guy's career to be over, I dont want his family dead, but yeah I'm going to get excited if he gets knocked out of the game and my team stands a better chance at a victory. I dont think there's anything wrong with that, but everyone just completely dismisses this position and I'm not sure why. What's wrong with it?
