MM doesn't run the ball, get used to it. He didn't even run in Philadelphia when he had McCoy, do you think he is going to run with what we have?

My guess is MM is trying to develop Geno in a hurry. The Jets are rebuilding. They stole a win last week. It's early in the season, Geno was hurt in TC. He needs the work, he needs to get comfortable throwing the ball and the WR have to get comfortable with him.

When you draft a player you want to start, install a new O, have your No. 1 WR out for the entire TC and on top of that have a QB competition that limits reps, your going to have a QB enter the season with very little basic connection with his weapons. Geno got a lot of work in the first 2 games. The Jets split those games.

MM may just be smarter than we think. The NFL isn't about the first 2 weeks of the season. Generally 75% of the Confrence will be in the hunt for a playoff spot in game 13. This is about getting out of a short week and getting the team ready for the entire season.

    How's that for sunshine?

Every pass seemed to be going to Gates and Hill who were in turn dropping the ball way too much. Why not Holmes and Winslow?

    how DARE you criticize Morningweg!?!?!

He so many more ball lickers on this board it's insane. Not bad for a guy who won 5 games in 2 years in Detroit, and a guy who REAL philly fans hated for years!

Abandoning the run last night like he did was horrendous. He called a terrible game.

Right before halftime though was the worst part. He almost cost this team the game even before the end of the half with his bullshit. Thank God the Defense was there to step up for him, and Gostkowski missed that kick.

Those 2 plays are not a microcosm of his terrible play calling? Did you generally like his playcalling?

I love Marty, what a difference in the offense. He has to adjust the playcalling a bit but he put our O in a position to succeed and the players failed. How can we really complain about our OC when we know what we had a year ago?

He's a good offensive coordinator, except for those pesky 3 hours on game day.

Good system - - terrible playcaller. Get used to it Jets fans.

MM is the best Jets OC since Hackett. You can criticize him all you want but that's a fact.

he's trying to fool the D and now it's on tape and gives future opponents something else to think about.

I think by now it's well established that Matt Millen was the Detroit culprit. I think Detroit won less games after Marty was gone.

I know a few rabid Eagles fans, and they didn't hate him at all.

Mornhinwig didn't call a good game in terms of having a rookie QB behind center. Much too much focus on the pass when we clearly should have gone to the run more.

We played this game like we were behind by 20.

Not sure if serious. Holmes is our best receiver, Winslow is Geno's favorite target. You really don't think the smartest coach in the game is going to find a way to take the two of them out of the game?

The receivers were open, Geno jsut either didnt see them or threw way behind them. Geno was wayyyyy off on his timing last night. That being said....why is Gates on the roster?

But i just dont get the playcalling we would run on 1st pick up 5-6 yards.... then would throw on 2nd and 3rd down 95% of the time. JUST STICK TO THE RUN!

ALSO how hard is it to stick on Edelman? Its obvious he was the only receiver Brady trusted and was going to go to him on 3rd down.

meh - the playcalling would have looked a lot better if the receivers didn't drop 20 passes.
