Another person who doesnt get it. How anyone can say that after a brutal drop and an even more costly fumble is beyond me. Brutal draft pick last year....
He doesn't exactly have a stranglehold on reality, does he? In what way did you play "pretty good"? You fucking KILLED us tonight, you idiot!!!! At least Gates manned-up after the game. I'll give him credit for that.
He had another 3rd down play at the end of the game that he dropped. He dropped so a lot of balls tonight too, fumbled for the second straight week. Like, in what world did he play well???? Dang.. He had a bad game, only reason I'm mad is because he doesn't take blame for his poor performance. At least act like you will learn from this shit, jack ass.
He had one good catch. He also had a terrible fumble which cost us 3 points (the game) AND two terrible catches..possibly more.
I was watching on Verizon NFL streamed to my TV so it was al grainy. But on the second holms cath I immediately KNEW it was holmes. It wasn't just that he caught the ball it was how he caught and immediately secured the ball. These young crappy recievers all start to try to run or flail their arms about before the ball is secure. NONE of them ever follows the ball with their eyes into the catch. As half assed or possibly injured as holmes is, he is an obvious veteran on the field and doens't drop the rock.
Everyone, even the patriots receivers were dropping balls. You guys need to chill. He didn't have any problems catching balls last week, and he made some great adjustments during this game.
Having a wide receiver with no hands should give pause when moving a WR up your draft board. It gives new meaning to the term "Freakish Talent"
Good point. Subtract his 3 points from the Patriots, add 4 points if Gates holds on, Jets win 14-10. Bad mistakes.
He has been even more useless than Kyle Wilson. Yes, let's draft a guy from a triple option team, with inadequate film, who never played in a downfield passing attack, let alone ran complex routes or did much of anything besides block, that no ACC fan had ever even heard of, with an early second round draft pick. When I write it all out it really is astounding that a professional organization would select such a "prospect" any earlier than the 4th round. it's absurd the level of repeated incompetence that plagues our talent evaluation.
This was our most improved player in training camp apparently...... so I'm guessing that means nobody improved? Bad news for Coples when he gets back..... as he must have regressed this training camp if Hill is our most improved. What did he have one less drop than last years training camp?
Hill was projected as a mid 1st round to a mid 2nd round pick. Where the Jets got him was not a reach. He's made some plays; I think he could still become decent but it's hard to say if or when that will happen. Right now the Jets don't have many options.
Aside from the fumble he played well. The drop was a high throw which I need to see a replay off. He bailed geno out on a sideline floater that he slowed down for and made some plays. He is progressing from last season.8
