Clyde Gates is such trash but you need team speed. Especially on offense. But God is that man is trash.
Kareem Jackson was terrible his rookie year too. He's become serviceable but he is still not a good CB.
You stop. Its so silly to write someone off after two pro games. People are crazy to expect someone from college to come in right away and become a stud, especially someone like a WR or CB when there's so much to learn.
This. Not to mention that he missed much of training camp and that being a CB in Rex's scheme is one of the hardest jobs in the NFL. Y'all need to chill.
No one is writing him off but don't make excuses for his terrible game. Trust me he was not benched because he was not a "stud".
Yeah, we've seen some bad CB's play for this team over the years and none of us have ever seen anything that bad.....ever
Was it Parcells that said you lose a game for every rookie you start. Maybe that's a little bit outdated in today's NFL but Millner had me thinking of it tonight.
Milliner has been lackluster... news a slice of humble pie. benching him likely won't last but hell its not a bad call. Walls deserves it. lets see if he continues being productive, or if Dee can rebound. like any other rookie lets not write him off completely though.
No excuses but Milliner is still recovering from his Achilles injury and does not have 110% speed yet. He could be playing through this the entire season. He also missed 90% of training camp with the injury. Some of the formations being called tonight he's probably never lined up in yet, not even in practice. If there's a player who's still shackey on exactly where to line up and who to cover, it has to be Milliner.
A CB drafted top 10 in the draft has to be aggressively bad to get benched. That just doesn't happen as you usually let them play through it cause you know rookie corners get tested. Milliner, however, was especially awful that he forced Rex's hand.
For a 13-10 loss at Foxboro, this was about as ****ty a game as you could get: Our two first-rounders were benched and hurt, respectively Our best defensive player limped off on the final play Our second rounder threw three fourth-quarter INT's And we had a stupid fight late in the game which will possibly lead to suspensions next week. Even Kyle Wilson was never this bad lol
