Sorry, but a 38-29 pass-run ratio is completely unacceptable considering the conditions and who's playing quarterback. Marty's treating Geno like he's already Peyton Manning, when in reality he's an inconsistent rookie QB playing on the road in the pouring rain. The reason the Jets were so good in 09 was because they didn't ask Sanchez to do much and only had him throw when he needed to. The D looks just as good now as it did then, and the run game looked great tonight too, but they kept going away from it in favor of the pass. All those first down throws set up 2nd and longs, which led to 3rd and 6s. I have to think if they had focused on the run first and put Geno into more situations he could easily manage, the outcome of this game might have been very different.

That's Marty's rep. I doubt he'll be changing anytime soon.

I know. But he has to realize what he has here and play to the team's strengths. Look how much better the Eagles offense looked last week when they started giving the ball to LeSean McCoy again.

The plays were there for the taking. I'm not mad about the play designs. Our WRs just suck.

Which is another reason why we shouldn't be passing 38 times!

Good points. Especially when the run was working and the pass wasn't for most of the night you would think that the Jets would be smart enough considering the playing conditions to just continue to pound the rock. Unfortunately, the offensive philosophy once again failed to do the right thing. We've seen this many times before.
