They will be gunning for us, TGG friends. The fight is on.

Playing Brady and the Pats is always nerve wrecking. But Playing our nemesis on TNF at Gillette stadium in front of a national audience with a rookie QB is what movies are made off.

Geno's fist road trip is as big a baptism of fire as you could have imagined.

The stadium will be rocking with anticipation, but so will the living room or kitchen or man/woman cave of every Jet fan as we get ready to down a few in front of the TV wearing our Jet gear. Every jet bar across the nation is cooking extra hot wings and stocking on the beer because for a Jet fan there is no better way to spend a Thursday night. Rooting for an upset and a victory.

We are cautiously optimistic as always. You never know what can happen on the field of play.

The darksiders are already penciling in the excuses come Friday in the remote case we win ( in their minds). I can here it now. The Pats are missing too many key players, they are catching NE at a bad time, the Jets are nothing but a lucky bunch to even come in with a winning record, etc, etc, etc. Rex almost blew it for us. Oh well, lets deal with that.

The sunshiners are dreaming of playoff scenarios and division wins already. The have visions of the front 4-5 of the Jets collapsing the pocket and throwing Brady to the turf. They can run fantasy offensive plays were our so called " trash receivers and the non existing running game" shows up in full force and shocks the Pats with a couple of long runs and passes for TDs. Could our TE duo actually be better than theirs for A change? Oh well, lets deal with that to.

We have a myriad of different view points but at game time all Jet fans once again unite and hope for a victory. Tough YES, impossible never.

Here are my wishes to all of you for a hard fought, mistake free and well executed game by the Jets against a very good opponent. May Geno and the gang silence our critics once again and cause the omnipotent media to eat crow.

    Can't wait. Go Jets

Geno is as cool as they come..probably to a fault. Nothing they do will bother him tomorrow night.

I really hope we somehow come away with a W, it would really do a lot for this team.

    I agree, man.

Even Colon said it this week: "The man is ice." (I'm paraphrasing).

    Really looking forward to TNF.

Win or lose I will still be hopeful. This team is playing with heart. And young guns are showing promise. Future is bright and I am no sunshiner. I am mostly a pessimistic guy but feeling good about this team and season.

He's got to be something, because so far he sucks at his job.

I'm hoping it's just incoherence with a new scheme and new personnel. Hoping like hell.

No need to make excuses for the way you feel about the Jets. You're from Brooklyn and you know the heartache since 1969.

Maybe this is a new era. Let's go Jets!

OK LAJet. I'm an original "darksider" and there is NO way I'm cooking up excuses now. My comments are few now, but they have always been based on what i see...not what I dream about.
    Hoping for a W

Just some clarification. I am 35 years old and didn't know anything about the NFL or the Jets until my company moved me to USA 9 years ago. :)

I live in New Jersey and lived in Brooklyn only for a year. Only reason I use Brooklyn as my nickname is because my 7 year old twin boys were born in Brooklyn so that is that.

On the other hand I am a soccer fan and my local(Turkish) soccer team Galatasaray are back to back champions in the league and has won the most championships in Turkish soccer history. We also have 2 European Cups.

That being said, I am pretty happy with the choice I made in 2005. I will die a happy man if I ever see the Jets win a superbowl. That championship will be more special than any other championships I experienced in soccer except the European Cups.

What I want see tomorrow night are 2 things:

    No gimmick plays

    A running game

If we dothat coupled with our great defense we win easily.

Beating NE in the Brady era has always been a huge momentum boost for the Jets. Even though it's only week 2, this would be a huge win to get. The possibility of sweeping them in the first time since I can remember would be awesome. Here's to hoping Geno can stay cool and our guys can take advantage of one of the most beat up Pats teams we've seen in a while...

I put 50 on Jets winning outright -- 247 payout.
I also picked Jets D in one of my fantasy leagues.

    Go Jets!!!

C'mon, get serious. We too are missing key personnel (e.g. Coples) and have an incomplete roster on both sides of the ball to begin with.

We are not going into NE to "win easily" regardless of how many offensive players NE's missing. They've other ways to deal with a Jet team that--fair or not--was ranked by some as worse than the Jags, Raiders, etc.; don't forget that.

Gimmick plays? If gimmick plays yield TDs, I don't care. Is there some faux 'honor' system in play here?

Running game? Even if it sucks and the passing game produces enough to win, you won't take that?

Win easily? Not happening. That said, I'll still take 12-10. Chandler Jones committing a stupid PF penalty allowing Folk to repeat last Sunday?

Not a problem. 2-0 is 2-0 .... screw the 'conditional'

Didn't a Jets team led by a rookie QB beat NE week 2 in 2009 as well? Let's hope we see it again!

P.S. Didn't NE only score 9 points in that game? with ZERO points in the second half!

Guys NE at home is never and easy win, even when we were clearly the better team. Division opponents are and always will be hard fought knock'em out drag out fights.
Again, win or lose, the Jets improving on there play against the Buc's in all phases would be an all around win no matter what the score.

Agreed. The wildcat was sniffed out so quick. I think if our conventional running game improves even just a bit we have a good shot.

Dline can find some motivation early, hit Brady. Hit Brady enough his game is shaky, suspect at best. Suspect Brady can help a magical start to NY Jets 2013 season

That was in Foxboro and that Pats team was a completely different team.
