I agree...I would have had that number reversed...it's the Browns and Miami had a decent defense last year and Tanny had a year under his belt. To be honest, Miami concerns me more, this year, than does New England.

I'm about sick and tired of everyone bowing down to NE and Bellichiken's jock. They look flawed, have looked flawed throughout the preseason and look NOTHING like they have in the past.

People better start rethinking how the preseason is/isn't an indicator for the regular season. They do NOT practice enough anymore. Mark my words, it's more of an indicator, NOW, than in seasons past. Go back and look at the Lions/Patriots game. While we may not put up quite as many points...that Lions defense is close to what we have...that is what it's going to look like on Thursday. I'm telling you...I'm fairly certain. I'll be the first to come and eat crow if I'm wrong. But, I don't think I am.

We were a fumble away from being up by 5 points and forcing them to score a TD instead of a FG. Stop acting like one play defined the entire game. It's one of the biggest fallacies going in sports these days. Yes, clutch matters, but the game is defined by its entirety, not 2 minutes. A penalty at the end is still a penalty.

What I find humorous about that is the Jets over TB would have only been a minor upset according to the spread. I'm not sure I've ever seen one team picked so universally over another where the spread was 3-4 points.

That said, Vegas turrned around and stomach-punched us itself with the spread this week. On one hand, Vegas thought us and Tampa was a close game, but this week it feels the Pats against us is a non-competitive blowout. Thanks for nothing vegas, ha

Being that we were 3 point underdogs to TB and 98% picked them, we are 12 point underdogs to NE so maybe 99.99% will pick the Pats.

The only reasoning I can think of was that Weeden was having a pretty good preseason. I still thought Miami would win though.

Can you provide a synopsis to the people that don't want to give ESPN any money?

This may go without saying, but I have trouble seeing how anyone that watches football regularly, much less WORKS AT ESPN AND PLAYED FOOTBALL, could be around .500 picking games the way Merrill Hoge seems to be EVERY WEEK.

It's not like they are picking against the spread.

Did any of them pick the Jets last week?

    This could be funny.

I'm pretty sure you won't see any green squares in that column this week.

Dude. They have Herman Edwards as an NFL expert. The fucking guy is an embarrassment.

They might as well superimpose Mickey Mouse wearing a football helmet to tell everyone about what is going on.

Why anyone watches ESPN is pretty confusing, but when you look at the majority of what is on TV, maybe it's not as confusing.

People are stupid and easily distracted.
But it's not entirely their fault.

Keep drinking that fluoride, folks! It makes yer teeth strong!

None of the ESPN guys picked the Jets last week or this week. This is week is more understandable, last week wasn't.

Chiefs over Cowboys is a joke. They pretty much beat a college team last week, and they get so much credit. The Cowboys beat a much tougher team. I don't buy it. Not sure I buy Bills over Panthers either.
