The context, my good man, is as follows: pure, unadulterated, triple distilled, wood generating bliss. I am going to soak in the hate, the 'luck' articles, and the Rex bashing medium, with a slight grin tomorrow. all 3 have begun already. We showed exactly what i thought we had. very aggressive, very satisfying D, special teams when we needed it most, and an attacking offense riddled with good and bad from a rookie shot caller. back to the wall, the team showed what they are and took a real close one in their own house. but you won't read about that tomorrow. we should all enjoy it. i for one surely will, and invite you all to join!
The team played very well, but make no mistake, TB made huge game winning mistakes. But I agree with your sentiment ....... revel away (I hate the word c**t)
The Jets are 1-0, the Falcons, Packers and Ravens are 0-1. Gotta love it. This win will push us up from 32 all the way to 28 in the power rankings this week. Expect a lot of "Oh the Bucs gave that game away! Jets are the worst 1-0 still!". LOL The talking heads will be scrambling for stories if the Jets show a great fight on Thursday, regardless of win or lose.
Tampa shot themselves with penalties no doubt. i love aggressive D, but they played that mantra to their own detriment. we shot ourselves with turnovers, but overcame and put ourselves in a position to take advantage of Tampa's mistakes. just how it goes.. progress.
Yeah, but of course a win is a win People from the media were saying things like- it's just a question of how many TDs the Bucs will win by, not if they will win. In the media, the Bucs were like 20 point favorites. The other thing is, I think that somehow teams end up making more mistakes against good teams than bad teams. Yeah mistakes are made, but in some ways I think they can be forced. Not Freeman's headset breaking (I thought it was not nice of the announcers to suggest that somehow the Jets sabotaged it, when they said "that never happens to you at home games". The Jets aren't cheaters, and anyway, you'd do that against Brady if you were going to do it at all, you wouldn't waste that trick on Josh "Future Free Agent" Freeman.) Anyways, at the end of the season people mostly just look at the win-loss record, and if you lost a bunch of really close games they will always say "Yeah, but you lost." So when you get lucky and win one, that goes just as firmly in the win column as any other win
True. We weren't great. Hard to believe we'll be playing in January. But then again, cunts don't win. Not today. Today, Jets win and cunts eat a dick. Innit.
How the hell is the Jets Bucs discussion thread already closed? after weeks of nonsense, we cannot discuss the game that just ended with a Jet win?
On Friday and Saturday I was telling people the Jets had soared a half game ahead of the defending Super Bowl champs. Now we're a GAME ahead. hmy:
Hehehe. In particular Jets 1-0. Giants, Packers, Falcons, Steelers, Ravens, Bills, Bengals 0-1. This will probably be the only week the Jets are ahead of all them, but I'm going to cherish it.
It feels good to shut these fools up even for just one week. If we play a competitive game against the Pats on Thursday that will be even better.
It's a game day thread, which means it's for discussing the game before and while it's happening. Now that it's over we have tons of other threads about the game, they are just more specific.
Don't care to much for power ranking and don't care very much what the media says, This is why they play the games on Sunday and not in the press room. Although I would love to see some of them eating their crow today.
Can we just go out an whoop NE's ASS on Thursday?! God damn, I can't wait for Thursday, I hope Mo Wilk, Barnes, Richardson, Big Snack, Ellis, and Harris make Brady eat turf all day LONG!!!!! Make it Jets: 2 Talking heads: -1
