You would think that Rex would tell the referee or the side judge (before the play) that we will be calling timeout after every run play or completely pass. Then he should stand right next to the side judge just to make sure that no time is wasted. Of all the things that a coach has to do and is responsible for, correct time management should be the easiest.

Better than '09 and '10? You are retarded and just lost the ounce of credibility you were clinging to.

Go fart some more sunshine and learn football while your mom changes your diaper.

The defense won us the game. I don't know what some of you guys are even talking about. They didn't collapse, they gave up ONE BAD PLAY. Fawking Jets fans. Surely they'll find a way to make a win become a loss.

that one played almost killed us

you gotta either put it together for 60 minutes or close it out when the time is neccessary

would you rather play great D 58 minutes and ruin it the last 2 or play shit D 58 minutes and save the game the last 2

our defense has too close it out and they didn't, they let the Bucs score and we had to pull one out but we did and thats all that matters

I think the best key is not for the defense to play better at the end of the game (although that would be great). Like it's been for the last four years under Rex the best way to post a better record would be for the offense to score more points so it doesn't come down to the defense having to make that last minute start.

the defense played a hell of a game. the big difference here is the lack of big plays... this defense got torched for some big tds last year, that didnt happen this game thanks to the speed of demario davis.

sure they let some plays up here and htere, but the bucs have a lot of talent on that side of the ball. nothing wrong with the playcalling. landry had a chance at making the tackle right around the first down marker, but im sure rex didnt mean for his guys to leave vincent jackson uncovered, so im going to give him the benefit of the doubt

the draw was just a great offensive play call, cant do anything about that. it will happen from time to time.

yeh or the offense not giving up the ball on the 5 yard line... without that the bucs were held to 10 points. the d was pretty damn good this game

I think Mornhinweg's playcalling deserves more criticism.

This is an offense of league. We were playing a team with 4000 yd passer and 1500 yd rusher the D played lights out. The offense as usual sucked but at least we can blame that on a rookie QB.

It wasn't great, It wasn't pretty, But Geno got it done. I also see something in him. Lets wait for the next game and see how he performs away from his home fans.

The play calling was excellent yesterday. 22 first downs? Shit ton of completions? Sign me up. Other than the Kerley rush MM did great.

Ummm... if the defense plays like crap for 58 minutes we're down by 30 with 2 minutes left. What the heck are you talking about?

Yea I pretty much agree. Execution was a little off sometimes (throw it away gino!) but the plays called were mostly on point.

I'll take 58 minutes over the last 2. If you play like shit over the first 58 minutes, then you are so far behind by the time the last 2 come, that it doesn't even matter. A game is a sum of its total parts, not just the last 2 minutes. People keep using fallacies that the entire game is irrelevant except the end. That's completely false. Geno's fumble on the 10 cost us way more than that play did. If that fumble doesn't happen, the Bucs never have a chance. It's nitpicking, that's all, and I've come to expect that from you even after a win. To look at it another way, if that play doesn't happen the way it did, the Bucs might have kicked the field goal with 0 left on the clock, instead of 30 seconds, which gave us a fighting chance to come back from it.

We will continue to blitz when appropriate. That's what makes this defense unpredictable. Missing one play albeit at a critical junction does not negate a terrific defensive effort. Not to mention the fact that the play was not designed to leave Jackson open. Someone blew Coverage. Rex took the blame for it. Great coach...end of story.
