Unfortunately that is not the case. Mark would of imploded with the pressure the offensive line was receiving. He completed a good amount of his passes also.

But you "know" that Sanchez will go on to another team and become a better player.

What we do know is this ... Sanchez without a running game is dog shit.
No way on earth we win today with Sanchez under center and our run game getting completely stuffed all day.

Who the hell cares about Mark Sanchez at this point? Let the Sanchez apologists cry themselves to sleep as the rest of us move forward with Geno. Next time this thread should get bumped is when Sanchez is released or put on IR.

What we really do know, is that for every time Geno threw it away, it might've been a horrendous play had it been Sanchez... you know, the kid that 'refuses to give up on a play even if it means throwing into triple coverage'.

Every gotdamn excuse the Sanchez apologists used to defend Sanchez happened to Geno today. He hardly had time in the pocket, run game was a mess. Yet Geno still played well. Had this been Sanchez I would put my life on it that at least Sanchez throws 1 INT on those blitz by David, or McCoy, and he probably fumbles the ball on a sack. He probably even forces a few passes on tight coverage.

You apologists say that all Sanchez needs is weapons, well based on what Geno did today despite a lackluster run game. If HE had weapons this team would be even better. I know it's just one game but his potential is exciting.

It's only one game but, really, for Sanchez to have a chance to come in Geno would have to play absolutely terrible...I mean embarrassingly bad, worse than Sanchez at his worst. Geno's first half looked like Sanchez 2.0 and then he just got better.

If you have a rookie QB who looked as good or better than your other QB who would be coming off a shoulder injury and didn't even look good in the preseason why the hell would you go back to the other guy? Geno has higher potential, seems to be 100% healthy and put up the W when Sanchez probably would have fumbled or thrown a pick when the pressure was on.

Barring Smith getting injured or the wheels completely falling off over the next few games I don't see Sanchez taking another snap as a Jet.

They guy turned two sacks into -11, and -19, coughed it up on the goal line, which led to 7, and thre a pick that Freeman was nice enough to get back.

Plus, they did a great job, of bringing more throws inside the box, a bevy of which still went incomplete.

And...we needed a shitton of help from TB to win.

He's a rookie with no preaseason time, so he sort of gets a pass there.

But in this offense. Sanchez woukd have put more points on the board.

Geno showed enough today, but without TB playing like a dirtbag Schiano coached defense...we dont win.

If Sanchez was healthy...he would be starting Thursday.

Though, he isnt, and if its a torn Labrum, hes gone till Nov. at least.

Geno, can still..ot appears get us to at least 3-1, if they stop getting receivers killed in the middle.

Schiano knew that would be the case, so, HOPEFULLY they will give Geno a chance to work the edges, and screens a little more on Thursday.

We steal Thursday, they have 10 days to tweak things, the line was atrocious today,

We saw it all last season. No running game bad protection? We would of lost this game with Mark.

Sanchez clearly outplayed smith during the per season. After today's performance, barring injury to smith. He won't take a snap again. Smith wasn't great today, but shocked everyone with his performance. They will move fwd with him from here on out

Totally agree with TB shitting the bed; without their help we simply don't get the win.

But the crucial point is that Geno helped us get a win, more than he prevented us getting it.

And in the end, we're still comparing a rookie in his first game, against what we most likely would've seen from our 4+ year 'franchise' quarterback...

Please. He played OK, not well.

If sanchez took Sacks of -11,-19, coughed it up near the goal line for the bucs to score 7, and floated one down the middle...,,youd be crying for him to be benched.

Without a gift flag, we nettted 13 points on offense today.

But hey, lets not enjoy the win with perspective, lets come bash the injured guy.

Go read the play by play on NFL.com. How many Short passes went INC?

Without massive help from TB, do we win this game?

Sanchez, had a better first game with a worse OC.

    But it doesnt matter.

Whats amazing, is people rushing in here to make a mediocre performance by a raw rookie, a reason to bash the guy.

    Haters gunna H8.

I'd take -11 and -19 on sacks over what Sanchez would've done on those plays any day of the week...
