Sanchez is a good sport Kimberley A. Martin @KMart_LI 2m Geno said Sanchez's advice to him was: play smart, be tough, don't let emotions get to u + execute #jets He was really there for Geno I say keep him around
The two turnovers were both horrendous, rookie, bang your head against the wall plays. We'll have to live with that. Outside of those plays I thought Geno played well. Pretty accurate with his throws, knew when to tuck it away and run and knew when to throw it away and regroup for the next play. A refreshing change from the past two seasons. Run game was an unmitigated disaster, and the pass protection had Geno running for his life way too often. I thought he showed good poise under constant pressure. Our D looks like it can be very good. The Landry missed tackle was atrocious, but it was the exception rather than the rule. Their run game was stifled all day ... Another refreshing change. Our D line had the look of a dominant unit for much of the day. Milliner better learn to turn his damn head around. He looked like Kyle Wilson 2.0 a few times today. Overall I'm encouraged, but I think we all looked at this game as a potential W. Thursday night should be very interesting. It would be nice to see what happens if we can play the Pats without giving them the 3 or 4 extra possessions Sanchez usually provided.
YES he does! When he gets more experience, we will have our franchise QB. He fears nothing and plays through his mistakes.
This game was very promising. The media will focus on all the negatives but this was a step in the right direction. The D looked good and Geno played well overall. Even completed 60% of his passes. Something Sanchez never does and something that all QB's need to be able to do in today's NFL.
I would like to say, regardless of if Geno listened or cared about what Mark was telling him, he was in his ear the whole time. Good guy Sanchez.
Utterly ridiculous. Geno bad one foot out of bounds and got popped. That same violation happens every week in the NFL. Behave.
Blah, blah, blah, .....like we did not fuck ourselves with a fumble that gave them a cheap touch down, and a couple of bad D calls otherwise Tampa Bay does not sniff shit. It cuts both ways. This was a hard fought game controlled by 2 very good Ds....better than the Pats from my view point. Very Bias perspective of the game if you ask me. Will see what Brady can do if the NYJ D plays at the same level as today. For now we are both 1-0, non withstanding the non believers.
THIS!!!!! the D is going to be so nasty, that alone will keep us in every game. It takes time for o-lines to gel but Geno handled it really well. This guy got balls, you can tell he doesnt get rattled. After Thursday we will really know what the team is going to be this year.
