Under ANY circumstance it was the right move for the Jets to do. They should never ever regret trading Revis it was and still is and will always be a no brainer.
Yea i guess my love for having a guy like Revis made me look away from the 16 mil a little bit but I understand the fact it wasn't much of a choice for us. But at least if they paid Revis all that money than maybe the Jets would stop over paying other players because of the lack of cap space.. Like Harris's and Holmes deal.. (Obviously a joke)..
Last time I checked the Jets were not anywhere near last year's playoffs/Super Bowl. I said no Jets fan roots for a player on another team when that player plays the Jets. I can't see how any Jets fan roots for Revis on 9/8. You lost me with the playoffs/Super Bowl question , but it appears entirely irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.
There is a direct contradiction with Revis playing well and the Jets winning. Revis playing well means he's getting pass deflections and possible INTS. That's the last thing I want to see in the season opener. Just sayin. Revis doesn't need to come out and play great in his first game to re-establish himself as the top dawg. That can come slowly over time. The Jets need to own his ass in week one. Holmes TD to the corner of the endzone after he burns Revis down the sideline. That's what I want.
Revis played well today. I miss him a lot. Vincent Jackson was the biggest weapon for the Buccs today and with Revis it would have been a Defensive shutout. That said go Jets got the win anyway. A little bit of luck is a bit of fresh air around here.
no need to kick revis. but this game is 'exhibit a' in the case to prove that a cornerback cannot eat-up 20% of a team's salary cap. he did shut-down his man, but there are many other players out there who can make plays. wish he could have stayed a jet, though.
Revis played well, ACL didn't seem to slow him down except for the fact he didn't play all the snaps. Near the end of the game when Wilson received a punt and put his hand on gunner, Revis came over and started saying to Wilson, but the cameras cut before you could see a reaction. Also in the 1st half I think Cro was talking to Revis after he defended a pass.
Also did anyone notice that Revis looked bigger? Maybe all that rehab not being on his legs had him working out his upper body. He almost looked like a LB to me.
Revis was very good especially considering it was his 1st game back. He made 2 very nice plays on slant passes.
I dont have any hate for Revis. We knew what kind of player he was going to be when he held out as a rookie. So to see him move on for the Bucks ( get it was no suprise. Why hate on a man for what we know he is. What riles me is people like Ty law, who think we should over pay for a home town player who continued to hold us to ransom. In the end you have cut ties. He played pretty well today, had Holmes all game long. And looked like Revis, not slowed down at all. Boy the Bucs must hate us. a 1-10 record against us.
Revis played like he usually does. Good for him. I think he only allowed 1 catch, which was to Holmes.
Revis defintly looked bigger. But not just his arms. His face looked kinda chubby in his pic they showed
