Someone called this in another thread. It just means that they don't have to guarantee his salary if he's signed in week two.
I expected this. Nobody dresses 3 QBs for a game. The bigger question is what will they do with Sanchez. I wouldn't be surprised if he's shopped around before the trade deadline and then placed on IR. Very interested to see what happens there. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
So Rex knows not to dress 3 QBs..... I recall last year there was a situation just like this -- Sanchez, Tebow and Mac were all dressed. Could that be that Jets were somehow obligated to have TT as QB2 barring an injury? Perhaps be because of a promise they made to get him here vs Jax?
I guess that says Simms is definitely more important to them as they won't risk losing him by a move like this.
I'd be surprised of they IRd Sanchez. At the moment, he's the best QB on the roster. It's a long season and no one knows how Smitty will perform or hold up to the the wear and tear. If Smitty plays very poorly or goes down, the Jets would look foolish if they IRd Sanchez a week earlier.
Gotta love the title to the article on ESPN.... "Jets Cut Quinn, may re-sign him next week" Seriously WTF? first off why is it a headline? and seriously the wording is clearly with the intent to stir people up...."OMG the jets cut someone and then already ready to resign him, that circus!!!!" FUCK You ESPN.
Yes. And he IS the best QB on the roster. If you cannot see that - oh well, big friggin whoop. Pointless to debate something that is absolutely trivial at this point. Go Jets!
If they were going to IR Sanchez, they would have kept Brady Quinn for Week 1. Cutting him allows them to cut him without paying him when Sanchez is healthy. It is a good sign for Sanchez.
