Please look at their stats form last year and tell me where Teddy beats Geno? Also if I remember correctly Geno put 70 points on Clemson in the Orange Bowl. I'm not being a homer but I just hate how the media has turned against this kid for no reason whatsoever. Honestly did you see any of Geno's games last year? He threw the ball over times against Baylor and had more TD's than incompletions. 8 vs 6. Hell he threw 24 TD's to start the year before he even had a pic! Tebow was a great leader as well.... I'm just saying...
Geno will be a bust. How many QB's show up out of shape for camp? Who tries to leave the draft bc they didn't get picked where they wanted? Those are just some of the off the field problems. On the field he wont won't be able to read NFL defenses and has shown as much every time he stepped on the field. His accuracy and footwork are also major concerns. Not exactly my opinion. All u have to do is watch him. And not for nothing but how many good college QB's lose that many games in a row? Guy is a major project who got dropped into the worst possible spot in the NFL right now. Mark Sanchez made him look bad in camp. Sanchez, one of the worst QB's to play in the last 30 years made him look bad.
Yes, I saw every game of Geno's last year. If you stick around you will find that I am one of the biggest participator's in the draft forum and also one of Geno's biggest supporters. I made this thread for people to back off a ledge from giving up on this guy. Teddy Bridgewater is a better prospect, that doesnt mean Geno cant be a better pro. Alex Smith was a better "prospect" than Aaron Rodgers. Anything can happen. But comparing the two as prospects, yes, right now it seems like Teddy is ahead. And also, as Im sure you know, stats do not tell the whole story.
I'm not saying Geno is perfect, he has flaws (flaws I think will simply have to be worked out on the field over time) but you're reasoning for him being a bust don;t really make much sense and seem to be formed from the general media consensus that frankly isn't very reliable in terms of coverage of the jets.
Finally someone who gets it!!! . I will be the first to say that Geno will put lots of smiles on the faces of Jets fans this year. Lets get a few receivers in the draft next year.
was the colts pick of curtis painter a waste when they sucked balls with him, ended up with luck, and won 11 games? cause ill sign up for that kind of waste
@ mr green Joey Harrington Jamarcus Russel Todd marinovich Rick Mirer Just sayin Wasn't Brady a 6 th rounder?
you must be new here, I could start a thread proclaiming the 2014 1st round pick is a complete bust and some of the darksiders would jump in and agree with me. and we have no clue who it might be yet. there is breed of jet fans that will not know what to do if the jets ever win it all. they will have nothing to bitch about. the day after the parade they will call for woody to sell the tem because the confetti wasn't cut up small enough. "fuck woody, he is to cheap to buy the right confetti"
ESPN is projecting for Geno Smith: 144/263 (54.7%), 1,871 Passing Yards, 9 TD, 10 INT, 22 Rush, 107 Rushing Yards, 2 TD's So... their expectations are not exactly high right now.
how many games do they expect him to play? those numbers would be fine at about half way through the season. do they think he won't last that long?
They have Sanchez at: 92/166 (55.4%), 1,046 Passing Yards, 5 TD's, 10 INT's, 17 Rush, 36 Rushing Yards, 1 TD http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/tools/projections?display=alt&avail=-1&slotCategoryId=0&search=
seems like a yes then... so they see Sancez coming back and then being replaced by Smith later on anyhow. and less than 3,000 total passing yards between the two of them in this offense is ridiculous.
