The Sanchez-Saga is over - we don't need to continue to talk about a non-starter. We should give this thread a proper burial. Hobbes and nyjunc will say their final words blah blah blah then we'll all go out and get some brews.
good Lord---that Kate Upton pic is insane!!! But I agree with pretty much everyone on this forum. Dirty Sanchez has GOT TO GO!
We've been talking about Geno Smith since he was drafted, and he just became a starter. Sorry, chile, but the thread stays until Sanchez is gone.
Who on offense other than Holmes could be defined as a crippling injury last year( and he is still out anyway)?
They lost their 2 best weapons in the apss game for most of the year- Holmes and keller. Hill was banged up, for a good portion of the year the top 5 weapons in the pass game were: Kerley- a good 3rd or 4th option on an average team but was our #1 Schilens- was almost cut in camp, wound up starting Gates- he looks much better this year but was cut by WR poor Miami Cumberland- good backup but was our main TE in his first extended action Reuland- not a pass catching TE add to it that the OL wasn't very good and the run game wasn't very good, how in the world was the QB expected to succeed? Not to mention the Sparano offense.
El amo del hilo de rosca Marco Sanchez No, it just needs to be renamed the "Amo a Marco" thread, the Spanish-speaking version of "I love Lucy." "The I love Mark Sanchez thread," or "El amo del hilo de rosca Marco Sanchez."
I rather prefer this thread be renamed: "Mark Sanchez or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Interception"
People are tired of watching Mark make the same crippling mistakes over and over . . . and over again. We want someone (Anyone?) else to be afforded the opportunity to take meaningful snaps for this team. You have had this explained to you ad nauseam. It's not terribly complicated. You may not agree with it, but it's awfully silly to be acting exasperated by the notion that most people on this board don't want to watch or support a quarterback who has turned the ball over 52 times in the last two seasons, any longer.
The way I see it . . . The guy still sucks . . . So as long as he is on the team and a threat to play somewhere down the line, this thread will still provide relevant commentary on the state of the NY Jets. Plus, it's become rather amusing to watch delusional Sanchez Stans struggle to defend increasingly indefensible points of view.
Larry Fitzgerald sends his regards. Remember him? He was pretty good until his QB sucked, and then he fell off the earth. You see ... It works both ways.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut Sanchez was not and never was throwing to Larry Fitzgerald. Mark has succeeded with decent weapons, and failed with bad weapons. I'd argue if Sanchez had Fitzgerald, he'd be just fine, and so would Fitzgerald. If Sanchez can make Braylon Edwards look good, then why wouldn't he be able to do it with someone as gifted as Fitzgerald?
#1 wr holmes. Out for season. #2 wr Hill, missed 8 games. #1 TE, Sanchez safety blanket, missed 8 games. Sure, none of that cripples a QB.
In defense of the team this year, I think if that kid was there Austin or whomever (ST Louis Pick?) he would have been drafted by us. We needed a playmaker on the O and he was our target. (too lazy to look up)
He does deserve a shot. Unfortunately he's been dealt an unlucky shit hand this season with the injury. However, the Jets brass clearly agree he deserves that shot as well. If they didn't, this chapter would be closed once and for all. They didn't. That's all I need to know.
