I have been a jet fan since 1986-87. I was just a kid and always just hated the giants for some reason. Maybe because giant fans are the worse or because of LT being a drug addict wife beater? I don't know? But the rex bashing gotta stop.... He is if not "The" best coach we ever had. He is the second best besides parcells. He took us 2 times to the AFCCG and got of us out being one of those really bad awful teams like : CLEV,CINCY,DET etc, etc. The past 2 years were obviously semi rebuilding years. Look at our roster? It clearly looks like a team trying to add players that retired. Bart was a great player and we almost made it. We had some talent but there always is that little luck (Giants) that you need to win it all. Rex has had to deal with a patriot team that almost went undefeated and a high power peyton manning team. Let's not forget that PITT team that Cower built over all those years. Just saying that even if we have a c losing season. I want REX RYAN to stay. He is my favorite home grown coach I got the pleasure of watching coach the jets and I see why woody likes him. That's all.

Just sick sick sick!! Of every single ungratful jets fan that thinks we are gonna hire the next lombardi. Not even vince could win a chip what we had the past 2 years as far as talent.

Rex is to football what Obama is to politics. Neither has a clue.

    Rex Ryan > Al Groh
    Rex Ryan > Herm Edwards
    Rex Ryan > Bruce Coslet
    Rex Ryan > Rich Kotite
    Rex Ryan > Eric Mangini
    Rex Ryan > Pete Carroll

Parcells is in the HOF so I'm not going to say Rex is better than him.

Rex is the best coach we've had (not counting Parcells) since I can remember (31 yrs old).

Throw another log of meaningless rhetoric into the bonfire of empty thoughts. This blaze will reach the heavens soon.

Love Rex. The Manesh bashing sickens me. Give the guy a break. He's fun, we finally have a defense, Marty seems like a great offensive coordinator, especially with no offensive coordinator last year. Give them some time.

Only idiots want Rex fired. The ones that want to start over every 3 or 4 years hoping something miraculous comes along.

Grow the fuck up haters - I want the Rex haters to address 2 questions

    1. Who do you replace Rex with? Don't you dare say Gruden, or Cowher neither. Unless you want to give Cowher 10 years to win a SB.

    2. WHO can maintain this defense with the scheme Rex uses? You can't run a true 3-4 or 4-3 so who can put our defensive players in position to succeed? Why won't it be any different then us getting rid of Vilma, or Farrior?

Look at the coaches you mentioned. He's essentially "The Cream of the Crap".

Totally agree with the OP. I think it's truly unfortunate that we, as a fanbase, suffer from the immediate gratification syndrome. He came in as a rookie HC with a reputation of being a great defensive mind. Well, he's proven the defensive part, and we now have on OC who Rex can count on. Hopefully, Rex will gradually learn more about the offensive side of the game watching Marty coach. I've always thought the best leaders are the ones who know their weaknesses and bring in people to help them in these areas.

Weeb Ewbank was probably the best we ever had and he too is in the hall but I understand he was before your time.

This exactly. This town doesn't give nearly enough appreciation to the good. It's like a majority of the tri-state area is clinically depressed and expressing it through their opinions of the Jets.

It's all bullshit. Rex is the best coach we've had in a long long long time. Some of the bashing about certain things is warranted, but he's getting crucified for doing things that aren't out of the ordinary. The media is a joke and a lot of the fans we have are a joke. He isn't Lombardi or Shula, and maybe if he paid attention to our offense more, we wouldn't be in the predicament we're in, but those are mistakes for a first time head coach to fix. It's a shame all the good things he has done and does is overshadowed by all this bullshit..

I wish it was 09 again.
