I don't think it should be a big deal to carry 6 receivers.

and cut who? its not just receivers, if they carry 6 wr than they cut from another position. so not only are you taking reps away from a young wr you are cutting another potential player who could help the next 3-4 years vs edwrds 1-2 years tops. plus cap space for a late round or udfa vs a 8 year vet minimum. the numners just don't make it worth it.

if holmes was going to be pup'd or worse than I think Edwards stays. as it is it was a sound football move and a total 180 from what got us to this position in the first place

They might but the point is we MAY have lost better candidates or strapped ourselves with a year of displeasure mainly due to a lack of direction

    Bart Scott
    Mark Sanchez
    Eric Smith
    Bryan Thomas
    Calvin Pace
    Derrick Mason
    Shonn Greene

Rex's loyalty to his players makes them love him it hurts us however and it's obvious now

Having 6 receivers benefits Geno. It gives Geno a vet for him to confine in ala Moss to Keap last year. I'm pretty sure if I looked at the roster I can find one person I would cut.

    1) Lots of money on contract at the time
    2) Lots of money on the contract
    3) Understandable.
    4) Lots of money if I remember correctly.
    5) Still here on a lower contract, played injured, disagree.
    6) Agreed.
    7) Not sure why he is on here. He did his job perfectly but wasn't worth the money offered. McKnight, Powell, etc never surpassed him and while he wasn't a world beater he was a solid back we didn't overpay for in FA.

    1) should have been used less, Rex actually thinks he's good in coverage
    2) less coddling more coaching
    3) agreed
    4) again used less he's a 1 down backer Rex had him rushing the passer no wonder we couldn't get any pressure off the edge
    5) again a 2 down backer Rex also thinks he's better than what he is
    6) thanks lol at Rex saying he's catch 100 balls
    7) used him less he's a nice finisher but Powell, McKnight should have seen more carries than they were getting, Rex considered him a bell cow he's not though he's a finisher a complimentary back not a lead guy

See Rex has always put more stake in his players than he should have

It's great to have faith in guys but you gotta be honest and call it how it is not how you see it

Belichick would have cut or benched these guys

The problem I have with Rex being fired is that a new Coach will want his own staff and it would be rebuilding mode all over again,Keeping Rex is the only thing that makes sense, We wouldn't have taken a second tier GM if Woody was gonna fire Rex. Idzik is a second tier GM he wasn't a top candidate for any GM job in the Nfl that's why we got him,I expect a shocking extension of Rexs contract midseason

Yeah right, nice evasion of the question I put to you, as to why you think Rex is not a leader. The players you listed have turned their backs on Rex? that's interesting.

You are twisting facts........keep up the deception, whatever reputation you had on these boards, it dissolving like powdered sugar in hot water.
