Lost today, but did not lose any ground overall. 3.5 games back of the Rays, .5 games back of BAL. 3 games against CWS coming up then 4 against BOS. Still very doable now that the Rays fell down to us. Easy to catch up with games against our division opponents.

That was the most pumped I have been for a game all season. I thought that there was no chance at all for them to come back against Chris Sale. I questioned leaving Kuroda in to face De Aza after De Aza destroyed him in his first three at bats. I also questioned pinch hitting Grandy but thank god I was wrong. I still question playing Chris Stewart over Romine. If you are going to pinch hit Romine for him, then just play Romine all game.

So we lost 3 straight games to Red Sox, but we are still 2.5 games back of the Rays. Problem is now that Cleveland and BAL are 1 game back.
I was listening to Francesa's NFL show and he kept bringing up the Yankees (not sure why, considering it's supposed to be about the NFL) and how they were done after Friday night, the season is over, etc. 2 games out, lol
Well after losing 4/5 this past weekend/monday, we win tonight making it winning the last 2/3. Even though we have done poorly the last 5 days, we sit 2 games back of the WC with CLE and BAL ahead of us and TB holding the last spot. The good news, we sucked this weekend and didn't lose ground to TB only to CLE and BAL. Bad new, we could have picked up the pace and gotten the WC if we didn't slide this weekend. So gotta keep winning and need CLE to lose (we play BAL so we can send them downwards). We end with a series with TB so we need to keep within 3 of them heading into our 2nd to last series. We end with Houston SO in theory we have really really really really easy games to end
If the Rays don't score 4 in the bottom of the 10 right now, Yankees will be 1 game back of the Rays with Cle (who lost today) and Bal (we beat them today) 1 game behind us. So yeah
