Converted DE Will Campbell is better than Jason Smith at this point.

So far Simms is making a great case to be the number 2 quarterback.

Sooo...we are still looking at a bit of spotty depth for the o-line. I'm just musing as we sit in each commercial break...

Simms, Mcelory and Geno all will take time to get used to the speed of the game and avoid rushers. But unlike Sanchez and like McElroy Simms appears to have good instincts in the pocket. He has stepped up a few times today to extend plays and has shown some nice footwork. But also some indecision and a bit slow to react in the pocket. But its unfortunate that Simms will likely ever get the chance to get enough reps to improve.

Damn, Jets have so much depth at DL. I'm sure other teams are intently looking to see who the Jets release.

Why wouldn't they try a long FG? It's pre-season, get the guy some work..

If only we had some speed on d line we would have a bunch of sacks

I don't know. The Jets really do not have the luxury of just tossing aside a QB like Simms considering what we've seen so far. Let's face it...THIS is what I expected to see from Geno as a rookie......I can't say it any more plain than that.

The Jets are so deep at D Line and so thin at every other position. Not a winning formula.
