    1) No more Revis - I keep hearing this all the time, how in the world are the Jets going to replace Revis? umm Revis played in 1 1/2 games last season, he played in a rout of the Bills and a game down in Miami. We won't be replacing Revis because he was not there last season to begin with

    2) No more Dustin Keller - Again the guy played 8 games, was rarely a factor, had no impact, so losing him is not as big of a deal as the media has made it out to be

    3) When will Holmes be back? - Why does it even matter? Holmes was not there after week 4 last season. If we get more than 4 games from Holmes in 2013 then it will be an improvement from 2012.

Its getting annoying that people are acting like we are losing Revis, Holmes, and Keller and all the good deeds they contributed to the 2012 season. People are acting like we have to replace all these players. If they had watched the Jets they would know they wont have to replace any of them because they were rarely there.

    4) Who's the QB? - People are acting like because we have a QB controversy that our QB play is going to be even worse than last season. I dont see us getting as poor of QB play as we saw last year. It doesnt matter if Sanchez or Geno is starting, it just wont be as bad. If it is then that falls on the offensive coordinator for not making the appropriate QB change. Marty will improve the QB play one way or another. Last season we were the 30th ranked offense, if Marty can get us to even the 25 that will be an improvement in every aspect.

I'm not going to sit here and promise a playoff berth for the 2013 Jets but if last years team was capable of winning 6 games, this team sure as hell can win more. The media can sit there and make a big deal about Revis and Holmes and Keller and the whole big QB controversy but at the end of the day, Revis, Holmes, and Keller were rarely involved and the QB play will be improved from 2012.

Agreed with the first three, especially the Revis point.

And while I agree on Holmes, there is also legit concern as to whether he is the same player or not.

QB is a major concern though. I don't really think there's much of a way around it. No matter who it is.

I think 3 and 4 are major concerns right now. Whether you like Holmes or not, he's still our best receiver when healthy. We extremely lack quality receivers and it is a huge concern. We need him if we want whoever is in at QB to be somewhat successful.

Then there is the question of who is even at QB. I do think this is a major concern. Im sure the QB play will be better than last year, because Sanchez was historically bad, but how much better? IMO, Sanchez is still Sanchez, and Geno Smith still has a ton to show and improve on.

    Great post. Thank you.

Our offense, through preseason, is leaps and bounds better than last year. Are we Super Bowl contender this year? Probably not. Are we a competetive team that can get hot down the stretch? Possibly yes.

The foundation is being built to reach elite status. The team this year as a whole has the making for a fun competetive season ahead. As always, CAN'T WAIT!

I disagree with the Revis thing ,without him I don't think we make it to back to back afc tittle games and we had Bell and Landry last season who helped the passing defense and masked the loss, now we have Josh Bush and Antonio"who?" Allen

I think it is way to early to dismiss Smith until we actually see him play a few more times. However we have seen enough of Sanchez to know what we will get there.

It's impossible to guess what this team's final record will be, but statistically we should be better in multiple areas. Does better stats mean a better record? no but in the NFL if you put up better stats your odds off succeeding will increase.

I think the Jets have improved their odds, lets hope it leads to a better result.

Holmes sucks and is a detriment to the huddle. One, 100yd game in 3 seasons. Can't believe this guy still has support. I would have gladly given his entire contract to Revis (a real baller i might add) and be "Holmes free"

I'm actually not worried about any of those reasons but #4, and that is either going to surprise everyone or just dim the team to failure.

Aside from that, I think injuries to primary receivers and receiving tight ends, questionable play on the OL, injuries to RB, and a ton on D are going to hurt the team.

I'm hoping that this doesn't hold the team in the basement, because it is so much fun to defecate on Bills fans.

This is what I've been saying this whole time as well.

There is no way we are worse than last year, it would take a lot for that to happen.

Yes I agree, thats what the media should be making a big deal out. How will they replace those 2 safeties? How will Cromartie play as well as he did last season?

Those are the questions that should be being asked.

How can I forget Dwan Landry who sucks in coverage,You gotta love that we couldn't afford or didn't want to resign Landry so we sign his brother in hopes that Landry jerseys will still be a hot seller pathetic,Like we don't know that's his scrub brother out there

This is a rebuilding year, not a retooling year. We got marginal Wr's, new OC to implement a new system, a inconsistent Qb who will most likely be asked to operate the new system and a HC that perhaps is coaching for his job. The amount of variables surrounding the Jets pretty much drives the perception of the Jets not being relevant in 2013. Not bias, just a cold, hard analysis of the situation. If you're taking the long view, it's not so bad. If you're taking the short view, it's not quite a train wreck but it ain't pretty either.

We need to follow the indy blueprint.
    No qb=no chance.

I agree on 2 and 3. Revis was a absolute beast, and won't be replaced easily. If Chez can get over his "red zone curse" (picks in the endzone)...than I'd agree on 4 also. If Geno winds up the regular QB, we're back to square 1. In a state of perpetual "rebuilding".
