    Sanchez is erratic

    Pick 6
    Good drive

    Good drive
    RZ INT

    Good pass
    Fumble

Honestly at best we win 8 games with him
At worst we win 4 with Geno

Give me the rook and a high pick next year

Sanchez making retarded turnovers every game has nothing to do with Geno, who clearly isn't ready to start. Stop making excuses for ridiculous Sanchez turnovers.

ooooh he wasn't ready because he only found out he was going in 30 minutes earlier. Ohhh it was the third string center! He's a FIFTH YEAR QB. I don't care if he had 30 seconds notice and the snap was from Obama. It hit him right in the hands! He continues to make stupid ass mistakes like that that hurt the team. I'm a Jets fan, not a Sanchez fan.

We need to find a better answer at QB.

The best QB on the Jets roster today is Mark Sanchez. The guy with the best grasp of the new offense is Mark Sanchez. The guy that has put up the most points, played better in practice, moved the team on multiple drives, had the running game going, completed 65% of his passes.....Mark Sanchez.

We need to do better at the QB position. That's all I'm saying. 65% completion and 65% turnover isn't going to cut it. Sanchez quite clearly is not the answer and shouldn't be starting in the NFL.

Who on the roster is better? Easy to say we need Tom Brady or Manning to come play but that isn't happening. For the 2013 season is you are shelling out $1500 in tickets, taking 16 Sundays to root for this team, I want to see the best players on the field and on this roster that is Sanchez. Not Smith who would be a place holder that will be relegated to career backup after a horrible debut season. With the Jets luck the get the top pick in the draft - have 3 QBs to select from and get the Akili Smith of the 2014 draft.

Sanchez should not be an NFL starter and Geno is in the wrong offense

You are continuing to argue something that I've long since conceded. Your love for Sanchez is masking your ability to have a reasonable discussion.

Reasonable discussion -- as a fan you want the best players on the field that give you a chance to win...is that Smith or Sanchez? If you have to base it on camp and preseason for the last 6 weeks -- it is Sanchez.

I am basing everything on this off season only.

If you want to look into the past

Spoarno's offense last year was beyond awful and the roster was barely NFL quality. Still won 6 games and stayed in the hunt.

two years ago Sanchez accounted for a Jet record 32 TDs. Too many turnovers but they were competitive at least.

So a QB who has nothing more than 2nd string ability gets injured behind 2nd string line after showing why he is a second level talent by holding the ball too long and Rex gets blamed?

So will the Jets select DE Jadeveon Clowney or another "franchise QB" next draft?

Anyone who thinks Sanchez shouldn't start week 1 is thinking based off emotion rather then common sense.

The jets have 2 games within the first 4 days of the season. 1 against a team with a shut down corner who just so happens to be a former jet trying to prove a point that the team screw up by trading him and not paying him and another in a very tough place to play and asking a rookie to outduel one of the best qb's ever.

I rather Sanchez take those lumps.

This teams struggles is much more then the qb situation but with a vulnerable incumbent qb in Sanchez, you would think someone would take advantage of to situation the way a 3rd round pick like Russell Wilson earned the job from the pressured starter Matt Flynn In Seattle last season.

Its a no win, but you don't make decisions for your team off of media opinion and what the fans think is best for the team. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't but I rather him not give into media and fan criticisim.

Why is everyone acting like Sanchez playing was such a dumb move. I don't think it was. He needs to learn how to play effectively in the west coast offense. He hasn't learned obviously since he still gets picked on screens.

He shouldn't start because he won't be here next year no matter what he does. The Jets need to find out if Smith can be their QB in the future or if they still need to go out and get one and anybody who thinks this team will be good just because Sanchez starts is delusional.

There is no best QB on this team as all of the options are awful. If you want this circus of a franchise to finally get it right then you should be hoping they get a top 2 pick next year and finally select a real franchise QB in Johnny Football or Bridgewater.

This year is a total wash. If you want Sanchez to play then so be it. However the Jets are going to suck with Sanchez as the starting QB. They need to draft a franchise saving QB next April. That's reality.

you gotta read, I'm talking about the enjoyment in the moment. Overall in 2010, we didn't win the SB. But Braylon douging over the Pats CB, Sanchez, Braylon, and Holmes wiping the smile off of Schaubb's face, Beating NE in NE, I enjoyed those moments as they happened. You are telling me you didn't enjoy them in the moment?

That's what I'm saying, the years since the last SB haven't been all bad, there have been enjoyable stuff.

Some people really just don't get it. Is Clowney throwing TD passes? Is our "vaunted" defense going to make us a good team this year? Hell NO. Don't get me started on how piss poor this team's draft strategy is.

The main problem with this team is QB and offense. If the Jets ever want to turn this thing around then they select Johnny Football or Bridgewater and they have a decade plus of high level NFL offense.

This team will continue to suck if they keep looking for these unknown "franchise QB's". Draft one of these sure things at QB and the franchise is in a much better place. It's that simple.

but didnt Sanchez play with 2 and 3 in the last game?

I thought coming into this game it was obvious Geno starts regardless of what Rex told the media because he had to. It made sense for him to play as much as he did. Since Sanchez played OT in the last game, I thought realistically he wouldnt play in this game and the 4th would belong to Simms.

The whole QB management, as ive said too many times already, has been weird. I dont recall ever seeing a f'ed up preseason like this.
