1st and foremost, it's a pre-season game in which there is a clear QB competition where NEITHER QB has stepped up and taken a clear lead. There fore there are no meaningless situations. Secondly, I never said Geno had it locked, I said that the only person that could screw himself in that situation was Sanchez, and he did...by your own admission you admit the dropped snap was his fault. Sanchez could have wrapped up the competition simply by not screwing up in the 4th quarter, he screwed up and now the competition will have to continue if its a genuine competition. That is assuming that Sanchez's injury doesn't preclude his starting.
It's not that I wish injury upon Mark...but I hope he's done for the year. I hope he is fine, and has a great life, but I don't ever want to see Mark starting for us again.
P- off kool aid drinker. Stop defending the clueless management and ownership that are screwing the fans.
I feel like he can surprise people if he fights it out in camp for another bad team (ideally in a small market), but the Mark Sanchez mojo here is just so terrible.
Even if we "win" this game, we really didnt win anything. -Geno played like shit. -Run game was...what run game? -This franchise shows how clueless they could be with our starting QB situation by putting in Sanchez for NO reason and he gets hurt. One of the toughest QB's, takes hits all day got his shoulder hurt. Complete stupidity. Even if he gets a TD its against 3's and 4's. NOTHING to get happy about. These 3 outweigh any good that this game produced.
Rex is getting a lot of help botching the jets QB situation. Idzik and Woody fingerprints all over this fiasco.
I'm not really concerned about Sanchez's injury. We should try every QB we have and see who works. Enough with the cuddling. Cuddling Sanchez is what got us in our current QB situation. Let these boys grow up and become MEN.
Smith is no where closeto be starting NFL QB. Stared down receivers, not as mobile as thought, there three ugly pics, behind receivers, and nothing showed nothing that will challenge a defense. They will crowd the line and choke off everything. Sanchez at least showed the ability to throw the ball more than 10 yards in the air.
