So are the JETS saying Sanchez is the backup? This is going to be yet another stupid Rex press conference.
no its not again with the dumb mistakes would you rather a guy make dumb mistakes or rookie mistakes some things are teachable but you cant fix stupid
Sanchez is better now than Geno. When he doesn't make mind numbingly bad mistakes like Geno, he has looked better. You take that for a little bit.
Putting him in against the 3rd and 4th string Giants defense, many of whom won't be on the Giants roster next week, the only person that could screw Sanchez was Sanchez. And well, he did.
maybe. Like last time Jets had to explain why they brought him out with a backup oline. The whole QB situation and managment has been awful. Bring SIMS out this late, not the 1 to play against 3s...
Geno's second and third interceptions tonight were just as dumb as Sanchez's. Neither is good, but at least they've had some level of success with Sanchez in the past.
I'm not arguing pro-Sanchez - he stinks... I am commenting on the ludicrous reasoning for those justifying Geno's mistakes. Someone at one point blamed the lack of offensive talent for Geno's mistakes in the first half... ohhhh rrrreally?
Is it possible for this competition to go on to the first (or first couple) games of the season? Just as we speak of how Geno shows he's not ready, Sanchez comes in and does what he does best.
Rex should install a 2 qb formation....It would totally confuse the opposing defenses cos they would have to decide which qb is crappier and our offense mite be able to catch them offguard
I agree it is dumb but more from a potential injury perspective. I wouldn't say it was to fuck him, if anything it gave him a chance to march up the field and remove all doubt over who the starter should be. He's playing with backups, but also against them. The only person who messed things up for Mark Sanchez is Mark Sanchez.
I'll disagree with that, aside from the 3 picks today Geno has looked better than Sanchez, Geno put up pretty good numbers aside from the pick against the Giant's first stringers. In fact better numbers than Sanchez put up in any of his games aside from when he faced third stringers. But, Geno made too many rookie mistakes today to win the competition, but then again he's a rookie so you expect those. Sanchez on the other hand, too many rookie mistakes for a 5th year player.
