Part of me wants to bring Geno slowly along and let Mark go. Part of me wants to throw Geno out there and let him learn in the fire. I still believe in letting people sit and learn even though the rash of recent rookie QBs have lit it up since day 1.

I say that only because Geno missed a game.

Actually happy Geno is playing like a rookie. Keeps the expectations for him low, and I never anticipated him being thrown into this offense and becoming pro bowler instantly. Let Sancho start the season. He will take the bumps and bruises, while Geno is on the sideline studying the game. This is not a playoff team regardless of who starts.

That is true. Would be interesting though unless the Jets convince the Eagles to play the starters maybe for a drive or two. They supposedly have a good relationship about this 4th preseason game.

I think Sanchez has it in the bag barring an epic practice collapse the next two weeks.

He was beat on that play he had an int, if Geno had made a good throw, it would have been a completion on him.

As a fan I would rather watch Geno play than Sanchez. It would make the games much more enjoyable. I just hate rookie QBs playing to early. I would rather have a rookie QB sit for a year or two and learn and then play when they are more comfortable. I think it pays dividends in the long run. I know the NFL is won now and play now but I prefer the way things used to be where rookie QBs sat for years.

Geno isn't ready to start in the NFL, but Sanchez isn't fit to play QB in any role in the league. Tough dilemma. If the decision is that Geno can hinder his development by becoming the starter too early, then they have to go with Sanchez. In any other scenario, Geno has to be the choice. Sanchez doesn't give the Jets a better chance to win now or in the future.

    I know what you mean.

he has so much to adjust to that its hard to judge wether he needs to get more time on the field or less.

A Little behind Hill, but Geno puts some zip on his throws. I thought the college report said his arm was weak? Or was it on specific types of throws?
