Close it when he gets out of NY, then we pop bottles! Screw Sanchez. Done being an apologist for him.
can we get a picture of him after the game the following week? even though as juncers has told me it wasnt marks fault. i bet he didnt look too fancy that night.
If there is any game that he doesn't deserve criticism for, it is that game. I thought he played really well. It is the only game where I was fully confident that if we got the ball back, Sanchez was going to lead us down the field for a TD to win the game. It was truly heartbreaking when Big Ben completed that pass. Never get that confident feeling anymore......
I thought he played above average in that game, but he wasn't above criticism. However, the defense shit the bed in that game and deserves the largest amount of criticism. They let Big Ben make them look like little bitches.
thats a pretty sweet fantasy projection. that must be why the junc yard dog calls them fantasy stats.
+1 When Steelers D was gassed, Sanchez couldn't even get the ball back. If the defense made one stop - ONE FUCKING STOP - it was anybody's game. And they sucked at the start of the game too.
You mean they should have gotten 4 stops instead of 3. Don't forget the forced punt and 2 times the D picked off Big Ben. What really killed us that game was the 9 minute TD drive the Steelers had and the fumble 6. Other than that, they weren't all that great.
I would call that one a team loss. The D was bad in the first half but the O was worse. You can't score 3 points in the first half while giving up 7 to the other team. Both units looked better in the second half but I think a lot of that had to do with the score being 24-3. That drive to start the 4th that ate up nearly 9 minutes of clock when the O came up with nothing with a 1st and goal from the Pitt 2 was as much of a game killer as the D not stopping Ben at the end.
Sanchez and the Jets scored 19 straight points in that game. Too bad it was 5 too short. I wish the offense could have gotten the ball back one last time. They were on fire.
The 2010 AFC Champ Game loss was on Rex more than anybody else. the Jets came out completely flat and sucked on both sides of the ball in the 1st half. That was the second time that season that the Jets came out and got blown out in the 1st half, the other was another VERY important game - the 45-3 loss to the Pats when a win would have given the Jets the division lead. You can argue Schotty and Sanchez handcuffing the offense in the 1st half. You can argue the defense allowing themselves to get pushed around by the Steelers. The fact that you can argue both of those things and that both had happened in a similarly important game just a couple of months before puts the heavy hand on Rex.
