you know its funny that junc didnt have anything to say to this post. i think i must claim a victory, and now i will tell everyone about it ad nauseum. hey nice punt
^He selectively picks posts he retorts to. He stays away from the ones he cant distort or pass blame.
If the Ravens could do with Dilfer, surely the Jets can do it with Sanchez. Sanchez doesn't even need to be good. Just mediocre and the team goes far.
Rex would have no one to blame but himself. Will be kind of ironic however if he does get fired that the QB he and TANNS hand picked and moved up to number 5 to draft, in the end is his ultimate demise.
And if he goes on to a Super Bowl in another 3-4 years with a stable OC and competent WR's, I sure don't want to see any threads on this site asking how we f***** up.
I agree totally Rex will have nobody to blame but himself, but as a Jet fan, I want to see the Jets win. I think their chances of winning would be very good given a Rex Ryan defense and a qb that wasn't one of the worst in history.
And all but 2 of those redzone TD's came against teams ranked 20th or worse in TD's allowed, at least in terms of passing TD's and Sanchez's thrown TD's. all but 1 of Sanchez's Red Zone TD's came against teams that were ranked lower than 16th. IN other words Sanchez had 1 Red Zone TD against a team ranked better than #16 in the league in terms of scoring allowed. Translation a bad QB was able for 1 season to exploit bad defenses, but couldn't do shit against average or better defenses.
Hmm, you bring up an interesting scenario, that is coaches fired that go on to win the SuperBowl, and off hand the only one's that come to mind (I think) are both Parcells Disciples: Belichick (fired by the Browns) Coughlin (fired by the Jaguars) Any others, and careful when you fire a Parcells protege? Was Vermeil fired by the Eagles? Or did he "retire" and then resurface with the greatest show on turf?
