Dude... Wow... just wow... are you for r... I don't even know what to say. The only out I can give you from this one, is that you've gotten so used to seeing Sanchez play that you consider it a high level of QB play... I mean he even shows you how 'impossible' that throw is when he's pump faking it with full motion of his arm in that 'impossible' angle. Once the season starts, go watch a few other team's quarterbacks play... you should have your mind blown when watching them. Mind. Blown.
An NFL QB completes that pass to Gates for a TD every time There is nobody within 7 yards of Gates. There is no excuse for Sanchez' decision to run on this play other than he is gun shy and/or his decision making has regressed exponentially .
Not only does even an average NFL QB make that pass to Gates easily, I would make the assertion that at least half of them could make that throw left-handed if they had to...
It would suck if Junc left or was permabanned. Dude comes here and contributes to the history/clips thread more than anybody. He is able to teach younger Jets fans with prior knowledge of the game. Thats always something to respect. Oh and im a Sanchez supporter too, most of the time I agree with Junc. Cool dude.
I will say this, even though I haven't double checked all the data he's spewing out, but at times I'm amazed at how much recollection he appears to have of games. That part I've always been really impressed with. It's the interpretation and the conclusions from that data that simply doesn't fly.
Funny, a good friend of mine told me a number of years ago that the board would never be the same if I quit posting, and I told him the exact same thing that you just said. And we're both right. This forum is more of a community than it is a machine. You take a cog out of a machine and it breaks down. You take a person out if a community and it continues to be a community. I'm not saying the lack of junc would make it cease to exist. I'm just saying what the presence of junc has contributed.
It runs good as normal without anyone. I'm pretty sure that is what I just said. But it would probably run better without you stating the obvious.
I hear you. I didn't intend to sound callous toward Junc and his contributions; I just meant to say that people come & go on a message board, as it is, like you said, a community. And, so, I don't feel anyone should constantly try to tout himself/herself as better than other posters on here (and other fans, in general). People like that really aren't needed around here.
You guys are adorable I swear. Yay let's hi five together Bro, Sanchez sucks! Yeah... Anyhow in the real World... The correct pass, and safe pass is only to Bilal, the pump fake was used to get the defender to over step to Sanchezs left, giving him a clear running lane. This is not flag football or Madden 39 whatever # there upto. This board: Why couldn't he under handed the throw, or thrown behind his back, or throw 15 yards with his left hand??? I seen Steve Montana do it all the time when he was with the Raiders! "Roll Eyes"
Me thinks U are just some sought of FB troll since you are happy that the NYJs have now been losers for 44 years & counting. I guess you missed Vince Lombardi quote that winning is not the only thing it is EVERYTHING
Completely different situations in each game and again a meaningless point so credit to him for picking out a meaningless point. Also, I have more people following me like BB that save my posts and look to "catch me", if it happened more often we'd know but I'm sure it happens b/c again not every situation is the same. It was a meaningless point to that discussion, I hope it makes you feel better, like you got something over me but the reality is it was meaningless. You can have the meaningless points. Please don't talk about credibility after being humiliated w/ your weak arguments yesterday. I am fair, I need to say it to the unfair folks like you who do not understand the game and want to take every ounce of credit form mark when the team is successful and blame him 100% for every loss. why do facts bother people? I didn't say to pump myself up, I said it b/c it is a fact, folks try to get things over on me. It very rarely happens. Usually folks have to make things up like you did. Those that truly know the game. it's a very small club on this board. Not every situation is the same, this is something you will learn some day. I do like you, I think you are one of the better posters on the board, you make valid points which I respect. I don't always agree but I appreciate it. Some of the folks people think I "hate"(I don't hate anyone on the board, I don't really know anyone in real life to dislike them or not) I really enjoy debating with. I like when people bring valid points and I have to work to overcome those points. I like to think, I like to learn. I don't like the easy arguments like yesterday w/ Namath and the winning playoff QB thing. It was an absolutely perfect throw, you show how little you know to say it wasn't a great throw. Who cares about the Ds? Sanchez was on the road w/ half the talent Peyton had? Both had shaky kickers, Peyton had the kicking version of him in Vanderjagt(great reg season, chokes in postseason) so he knew he had to get him close. He had 2nd AND 3rd and 1 to move the chains and get him closer. What did he do? took TWO shots at the EZ and settled for a 46 yd FG. This was AFTER not one but TWO incredible gifts to keep him in the game. The Polamalu INT which was clear yet they overturned it or the game would have essentially been over then after failing on downs deep in their territory Bettis fumbled it back and Indy returned it near midfield. Peyton was in a MUCH better spot and FAILED as he so often does in January. Mark could have led us even closer, w/ over 20 secs left after the Braylon catch we let the clock run down to kick the FG. and Mark led us 40 yds, drive began at our 46, ended at Indy 14. The problem is it looks like he never saw Gates then had 2 jax defenders in his line of vision. please explain how Gates' reaction shows the play was designed for him? the stuff people make up is incredible. He made a mistake not seeing him as he was pressured, that stuff happens. it's not the end of the world, the big mistake was allowing the clock to run out. That is inexcusable. The board will never stop no matter who leaves but just as it isn't the same w/o some of the older posters whop are either no longer with us or just decided to leave the board would never be the same. I don't claim to have followers, I do. I don't say that necessarily as a positive. You better have a rock solid case or I will tear your argument apart, you may think you have done your research and brought solid info but if there is a crack I will tear it apart. Thanks Brooklyn. we know why you'd want me gone, I'd want someone to leave who constantly humiliates me in arguments too:grin:
