He dropped a typical high Mark Sanchez pass. Just stop. He looks like he improved as a route runner. Which is good for a guy that tall and fast.
Of course he is. He's the most dedicated homer I've ever seen, though. I doubt he has any position with the Jets. But if he does, it's probably far from the PR department. He is able to get real worth people that don't completely dismiss his takes. If people can be balanced in their argument, he can do the same thing. I've been on this forum for over a decade and understand your viewpoint. All you have to do is stop trying to beat him and start trying to understand the realistic notions he brings up. He's like anyone. He can exaggerate to about people or just deny a point to get under your skin. But in the end he is like all of us. He rios for a football teams and gets just as pissed off about stupid plays by his team. Why are you so convinced that he works for the team, BTW?
Don't bother with that one, it's a Bills fan that has been pretending to be a Jets fan for like three years.
And I'd say "Let's get back on topic" if this thread really had one, but it basically seems like a thread a guy started in order to vent, and got hijacked by guys that cannot concede an argument. If this thread keeps at the top of page one while Hobbes is banned and junc is not posting frequently, it's not their fault that this dumb thread exists.
This thread may very well be the most important of them all. Because the standards have gotten so low in here, basically anything goes. There's nothing stopping someone from popping their head in, bust the vent valve open and yell Sanchez-related obscenities, then just leave. Which can be a godsend for a lot of people - all the other threads certainly benefit from it. As long as Sanchez is considered to be our starting quarterback (which freely could be translated to 'As long as Rex is the HC'), and Mark Sanchez plays like Mark Sanchez - this thread will have a big role in keeping people sane. Better to keep all the venting in one place. And Sanchez really does suck ass, for the most part. Flawless first drive (despite the fact that on both his TD throws so far the covering defenders have fallen/gotten tripped up). Then straight back to being The Deer.
before even reading all the bashing let me give my usual unbiased opinions. I was VERY disappointed in Mark, he had a chance to end this competition and have us feeling good going into the season but he blew it. He looked so damn good for a qtr + then after the Hill drop he fell apart, a reason I was encouraged a week ago was after the INT he bounced right back to show pre 2012 form but the other night after the Hill drop he showed 2012 form. I can forgive the INT, they are all still learning a new offense and Winslow is a new weapon but what I cannot forgive is the way the half ended. A pee Wee QB shouldn't do what he did, I can take physical mistakes and certain mental ones but this is as basic as it gets. if a play isn't open quickly for a TD you throw it away and take the FG. I am just very disappointed in the way he ended that half. We should be able to run, I think we'll have a better D than we showed the other night, we just need a QB to make sound decisions and if he can't do that then it's on to Geno. geno will now have a chance to win this job sat Night when it should be over. Hopefully Geno steps up and mark steps up when he gets in.
You know a Mark Sanchez performance was bad when junc says it is. Coming from him that means something.
Good honest critique Junc, the end of the half annoyed me more then the int, after the int I saw that familar look in his eyes
I will always be honest, the performance overall wasn't bad but it is marred by that end of the 1st half. I just can't excuse that.
Look back at my post history, I am always fair. The issue has always been from you guys in that if I don't say he's the worst and it is all his fault I must be saying he's great and one of the best.
No one is saying he's the worst (unless we're talking about current worst starting QB's that's debatable) and no one is saying it's all his fault. The thing is we're in a Sanchez thread discussing Sanchez problems as a player. You'd start bringing up other things that has nothing to do with Sanchez as a player. Everybody knows you're not saying he's the best or great. But I have 2 questions? If you're so impartial why do you feel that you have to defend Sanchez on here so much? I see stuff that I disagree with all the time and most of the time I don't even respond to it. 2. Do you at least understand WHY Sanchez gets the hate he gets?
I defend him from the lunacy of the board, from folks that act like he's Kyle mackey. The fans and media tend to pile on to certain players or coaches when things don't go well, I like to look at the entire body of work and see what is going on in each particular situation. I know he sucked last year but I also know there were many reasons for that- some he could control and some beyond his control but the fans and the media pretend it was all his fault and that we would have been a playoff team if not for Mark. I understand fans being frustrated, I don't understand the hatred.
If U have been saying that we are screwed since last spring then why the hell did U piss away 5.2Gs renewing your tix?
I was at the game saturday night and i 100% agree with everything you said here. that first quarter looked great. granted, it was against the jags, but it was still textbook wco and he executed it almost perfectly. then, like you said, after the hill drop (that was pretty much right in front of me. no excuses, he has to catch that ball), his bad habits came back out. forcing that ball to winslow was bad imo. we had a chipshot field goal there if he doesnt force that into triple coverage. the end of the half made me want to strangle him, and imo, makes me believe that we are at square 1 with this comp all over again. you have to throw that ball away quick. you have to take points there. its inexcusable. that stuff is what makes people go crazy about mark. like you said, pee wee quarterbacks know better than that. just crazy that he did that. my uncle and i were furious with him at that point. and we believe that one play is what caused him to be in there until the 4th q and will cause geno to get 3 q's this week. they need to see more bc he just couldnt pull away. edit: one last observation. MM's offense will guarantee better numbers for our offense just based on the spacing alone. guys are open in his scheme. guys are not standing on top of each other and running the same route in tight space like in BS' offense. im not even gonna talk about last years o bc that was just a disgrace.
*snicker* Spot on, and what's more that's a 'conversation' that should've been resolved before he took the snap from center.
