Mine definitely did. Originally I said: 9-7 But now: 6-10 Not overreacting either. I had no idea our defense was this terrible. We cant tackle at all.
Cro's tackling has been scary. He's gone back to the "launch my body at the guy" tackling style instead of wrapping guys up.
I thought we were going to be bad, now I know we are going to be bad. I'm waiting for next season, I think we will get back on the grid then, for now, I'm waiting for this rebuilding year to pass over.
I'm still at 7-9. Lets not label Cro's tackling shitty because of one goddam miss, okay? And way too early to tell how the D is, we are running very simple coverages.
He did it multiple times in both games so far. He's having surgery now. It could be much longer than 1-2 games.
I'm still good at 10-6, it's a fucking meaningless pre season game you think Rex I's gonna give up his defensive game plan in the pre season? It's unreal the way Jet fans react to meaningless bs, this is what the pre season is for to fix mistakes, the defense will be fine
Pretty much in the same boat as you, even thinking 4-12 honestly. Ans since when is Coples having surgery? I didn't hear that.
Cromartie on the jets was always a weak tackler. Flat out he's not strong, opponents always out-physical him. A couple of these preseason games just served as a reminder.
Was just announced not that long ago. Bills still suck. Dolphins are still really overrated. Titans still suck. Steelers aren't that impressive. Ravens aren't as good as they were last year. Oakland still sucks. Panthers aren't that good. Browns aren't amazing by any means but could surprise this year. That just leaves the Bucs, Pats (x2), Bengals, and Saints. Bucs I don't know much about, Pats still have Brady but they lost some major playmakers on offense, Bengals look good on paper but can be underwhelming, and I never know what to really expect from the Saints. 9-7 is a reasonable expectation. 10-6 wouldn't even be a stretch. It all comes down to whether our defense is playing bad because it's the pre-season or if this is a sign of things to come.
The starting o line and Powell gave me slot more hope that we will have a top 15 offense this year , and Morniywig deserves alot of credit aswell I loved the playcalling it feels good to have a real oc for once
I don't think he is weak, I just think his technique sucks because he had always relied on pure athletic ability to get by. He really seemed like a different player last season. He concentrated on his technique and showed heart doing it. I'm hoping he doesn't go back to the way he was. Edit: on topic, I am sticking with what I thought, 7 games no matter if it's Sanchez or Smith starting. If we end up seeing McElroy at some point, in a starting capacity, less than 7 games won.
The key will be splitting the series with the Pats, Rexs first 2 years we split the series so it's a must to win one of those 2 games if we wanna even have a shot at the playoffs
While this list overall accurate, we are still pretty bad ourselves, and I doubt we will win all of these games, it's just not the NY Jets way. We always lose a few "gimme" games.
I think I had us in the 6-10 to 8-8 range and I still have us there. I think the percentage for us surprising the league and getting to 9-7 or 10-6 went up a little bit though.
