Sanchez ran with that ball and got tackled at the 2,,,,,,everyone saw gates doing jumping jacks in the end zone by himself except Sanchez . Maybe someone should start a new thread or change the title of this one to " I am very worried about the qb position as long as Sanchez starts "

Yeah, it was when he tried rushing it in. It was incomprehensible, because even the announcers mid play were talking about how wide open Gates was..he looked pissed after the play and I think I remember Sanchez telling him my bad right after

He saw him. He pumped faked the ball at him while he was open, and decided to tuck the ball and "run" for the endzone. Clearly that worked out well...

It was reminiscent of his redzone INT vs the seahawks when he pumped 2 or 3 times to Keller in the endzone, and then decided to throw it right as Sherman jumped the route.

FFS, I keep saying that I'll support MS until he's not a Jet, but FFS he's not making it easy is he.
He seems like a smart fella, but he just does not have the instincts at this level to be a starting QB in the NFL. I'll go further.... if he fails to land a starting job should he get cut/traded (for a bag of marbles) I reckon he just won't be able to handle it. 5 years from now...Mark who?

At what point in his career has Sanchez EVER shown anything to prove he's smart?

The wildcat was working good last night,, first and goal from the 3,,how can you not try the wildcat at least once ?...Instead Sanchez runs,,,unbelievable.

This is a good summation of the discussions the Jets are having:

I never seen a bad QB get this much rope to succeed before in my life.

Do you think the score of a preseason game matters? Weren't you just chastising someone for being concerned about which QB was starting a meaningless game?

All Sanchez has shown us so far this preseason is that he's the same inconsistent, poor decision making turnover machine that he's always been.

more people need to be worried about the defense, not the O.

    No, no they don't.
The D for the best part will be fine. Depending how Milliner steps up will be significant to Rex's schemes I believe

The defense is another issue. That doesn't absolve Sanchez.

What im saying is that Sanchez and the O proved they can get it done. Or as TC puts it, serviceable. The D however has not since many teams are going with the hurry up offense and last night shown once again the JETS cant contain it. This team overall wasnt going to do much to begin with but I feel too much attention is in the wrong place by fans and the media.
