This is bad. The NE game on Thursday is just a few days after the opener vs. Tampa Bay so he's not playing that game either. That will hurt the Jets' interior pass rush. As it was, Coples was still trying to learn a lot in his hybrid role - this is really not good on a couples of levels. For one, his 'x' factor athleticism has to be accounted for on every play. Aggh...

Huge loss. Was hoping we could dominate the line of scrimmage against the Bucs, whose offensive line hasn't been as good as advertised so far in camp. Now it'll be a little harder.

Then New England, man, we need all hands on deck for that one. Four weeks from the date of the injury puts him 2 days after the Patriots game. Hoping he comes back for that one, though hard to be that optimistic.

Oh enough of the overreacting. All of this, "this is bad," nonsense. It's actually good...... A hairline fracture, compared to what it could have been, is a lot of nothing. He'll be fine.

This hurts most against NE as we likely will be in nickel the entire game with Coples inside next to Mo most of the game. Like others have said the NE game being on a Thursday makes it more doubtful he would be back for NE.

Hurts, but could have been worse.... thinking of poor Dustin Keller, now that's a bummer.

He is likely out until week 3. It's still a crack, though non-displaced.

He has 3 full weeks to rest it. If it's "not serious" let the Big Motha play Sept 8th.
