So correct me if I'm hearing this wrong but... Rex says Genos ankle is not close to 100% and that he might not even play at all this weekend, yet at the beginning of the week he and MM were stressing how important it is for Geno to man up and practice. How does this make any sense?
and also, let's all look at his ankle. That's the reason he's been poor today and overall behind Sanchez this whole TC... He also needs to stop saying "no comment" before the NY media eats him for it. And lastly, maybe he should of went to the Sanchez camp after all. His cockiness and smirks are killing him, at least right now. IF Sanchez lights it up this year, which so far base on the changes to the O we've seen and IF the JETS finally allow him to be in a comfortable setting with the same WRs/effective OC, Smith will be seen as another D'oh from Jets drafting because I dont see him taken over this team if that happens.
that was my initial take on this guy but i have lightened up a bit on it. what do i know?? time will tell but i would be willing to bet the next time the jets are in the AFCCG it wont be with smith as QB.
please. The biggest area Geno needed to improve on before training camp was his footwork. Headbands camp wasn't going to help him with that. It sounds like he improved his footwork tremendously for the first day of TC, which is what the coaches asked him to do. When our idiot reporters ask an idiot question they deserve a no comment. The ankle is no excuse. Hopefully he can play Saturday so we can see more from him.
I was JK about the post fyi, I was just acting like the fools who attack Sanchez for waking up every morning. If Geno ends up being a top 20 QB then that would arguably be a steal considering he was a 2nd round pick.
lol, watch Sanchez get 2 turnovers and then McElroy plays lights out vs a more formidable defense. and the day came that the Sanchize's last stand was brought to an abrupt end... however it was not the era of eugene that did the deed for it too was withheld... Nay, it was the G-Mac Gambit that had begun in their place... didn't see that one coming...
I avoid training camp drama on the forum. I try to avoid the preseason in a whole because all these users come back from hibernation since January and then you start hearing the most craziest posts from people. Let me get broken back in, the offseason here was rather relaxing.
dude you were probably saying the same thing last year when they brought in Sparano. Sancho sucks. get over it
