You seem like you are an expert on the go-to guys in the Seahawks' personnel department. Why don't you go ahead and tell us all who should have been hired in place of Graves? Since Seattle is the absolute model of personnel acquisition.
Idzik IS a football guy. He comes from a football family. He father was a coach, and he started as a coach. He's worked in scouting, personnel, and also cap related positions. I'm getting tired of hearing this same rhetoric over and over from jackoffs like Manish Mehta. Idzik's resume blows Tannenbaum's away. Just look at their careers and compare them. Tannenbaum spent most of his career interning. There's really no comparison.
They've done a great job of identifying talent at all rounds in the draft including UDFAs I wish he would have brought over Scott Fitterer their current Director of College Scouting and given him the #2 job Fitterer has found a few gems for Seattle and does a great job with their analytical research I think it's called SPARQ
Was it Fitterer or was it his scouts? Terry Bradway has been director of college scouting for the Jets and he has found a few gems too. And I HATE Bradway. Care to compare the gems both have found? Or do you just care to stop talking out of your fucking ass?
You really didn't. All you did was make a really empty response, and then follow it up with an easy exit. And now it seems that you will pretend that your really empty response was the actual backup to the the really empty response. Which means all of the laughter was justified. Way to beg for mod support when you have no argument.
It wasn't empty I just feel a new highly regarded up and coming personnel executive would have been great to add rather than a treadmill former GM who rarely drafted legit talent I'm not asking for mod support but telling me to shut the fuck up over the web is unnecessary and I believe against forum rules
Did it ever occur to you that a new head of scouting may have come from a place where he never got a chance to pick his own scouts? The Jets did an overhaul on their scouting department. You might want to take a look at that, past just trashing the guy who was hired to organize their efforts. And stop whining already. Your posts are begging to be abused. I mean, seriously, look at this crap: That's posted by the poor little innocent fellow crying about language and personal attacks? Shut up already.
My post was just saying what I would have preferred to see and honestly I like our new DCS he's looking for the right things but my opinion on Rod Graves having input or influence on our future is something I'm not a fan of I have every right to post that but you're just out of control and trying to make me look like an ass hole for no reason at all
the only thing the Jets have failed to do (at any time really) is draft a franchise QB (which is really a combination of luck and more luck - basically sucking at the right time and having a top QB prospect available at the time - like the luckiest team of all - the Colts) there are two types of teams in the NFL - those with franchise QBs (who are the good teams) and those looking for one (who tend to be the bad teams) - the fact we have done as well as we have despite never having had a really top tier QB is incredible.
Jets have strengths & weaknesses just like every other team. Where the Jets are very good w/ dbs(Kyle Wilson aside) they struggle w/ RBs..The Giants are literally vice versa. Jets have also shown the ability to find starting level O-linemen.Funny that they've struggled to find good back-ups.Lbs have been a train wreck. Thank you Ohio State University.
It seems as though, and I could be incorrect the Jets can build the trenches (O-Line and D-Line) and find starter quality players. When it comes to impact players (QB, WR, Pass-rusher) we seem to fail miserably. We did have Abraham at one point, but he's been the last good pass rusher on this team.
